It is not only causing issues in game, but taking out everything else on my machine for about one second every few minutes ranging from 1.5-5 minutes. This causes major rubberbanding in game, my discord voice will cut out, streaming will stop, etc.
Can we please get a fix for this? The community has identified the problem, and we can’t implement the fix, only you can. We’re doing the work for you here. It took a megathread (with no answers from AGS) from the community to pin point the issue.
My telemetry is turned off, but I’m sure that button is just for show anyways.
Any response to this? The thing that is going to kill your game is performance issues above anything else. In the mega thread, this specific issue is getting drowned out by hardware stuttering problems. This is a very specific networking issue that needs to be addressed by AGS.
Omg my discord cuts out all the time. I have been losing complete sound on my pc while playing the game and nothing has been wrong with my pc and it only happens in new world!
It will happen and then all of a sudden sound comes back!
No, this is happening to multiple people, but not everyone. The drop in connection only occurs when a large amount of data is pushed to the NW client from AWS. The post linked above shows more information.
I’m still having issues. Im the one who posted the screenshots above. I can still play but the spike is the same, same 60 second intervals from the same AWS server. Spike cuts out any sort of crafting, gathering, marketplace dealings. THIS IS ON AMAZONS END>>>>NEED FIX!!!
@KnossosRising I actually changed my setup a little bit. I don’t have a lot of control over my home network because I live in an apartment, but I ended up using ethernet instead of wifi, and this resolved my issue. My guess is that this is actually affecting everyone, other people are just unaware because their set up can handle the huge jump in bandwidth.
Does anyone know how we can block this US-west server connection completely ? I have just a standard fibre & seperate wifi router. Can this block be done via teh router, or would i need third party firewall software to do it ? Blocking that connection would fix the network lag issues. And the game seems to run just fine without it.
