If this game doesn't limit armor perks to only 3 pieces of gear is going to continue to get worse

Everyone keeps complaining about ward and bane gear. Resilient has to be on pvp gear other wise its instantly salvaged. There’s a clear BiS gear set each meta. BiS gear will sell for several 100’s of thousand gold. Some even pushing up or past gold cap. Meanwhile a good piece of gear that isn’t BiS might barely make it into 5 figures.

The solution is easy. You limit perks like ward, Resilient, freedom, etc. To only 3 perks instead of having it on every single piece of gear. You raise the amount by 50% on each perk. So 5 from our vigor being 10% or 50% on 5 pieces of gear becomes 15% or 45% on 3. It’ll be slightly lower yes, but you won’t need to get 5 perfect pieces of gear and it’ll open up to have more perks on the rest of your gear. Not only that but it’ll open up a HUGE variety of gear and also open up gear that is worthless salvage fodder to be used when before you couldn’t even sell it!

Right now BiS is elemental aversion, resilient and freedom. Reducing that to 3 pieces of gear you’ll now own up the other 2 to have the following:

Calculating the 50% increase
2 vigor at 15% or 30% total
2 refreshing at 3.5% or 7% total
2 weapon perks
2 pvp perks

The list goes on and on and you open up the entire game perks rather than just throwing away a piece of gear that rolled freedom, refreshing, vigor because it has no resilient on it. It’s stupid that gear with good perks is trash unless it has 1 specific perk on it.

Not only that but good won’t even kill anyone’s build! And actual quest and named dropped items will be more valuable! You’ll be able to easily mix and mash without little effort. Unlike having to painstakingly pay gold cap for four shirking fort gear that is now useless. It’ll also be great for the economy as well. Until then the game is gong to suffer tremendously because of gear doesn’t have resilient, ward or blessed on life staff it’s going to continue a trend of terrible design on gear.
