I’d even be ok with my house “losing value” like I bought the $5000 one for $2500. Id be happy with only getting $1700-2000 back.
At the very least let us use some of that value to upgrade to a higher tier house in the same town.

I know I’m constantly daydreaming about non existing contents, but if you buy a house you should be able to sell it. And now I go further:
- IF it is standing on the first spot of that house ranking list for more than 7 days, the game “town governor npc” should offer you a higher price for the decorated house as the full price + payed taxes were payed since your bought it.
The decision should be yours, IF you need the bonus gold, or you want to keep your house + all it’s decoration.

It could be interesting if they let you sell it to other players. Could be a nice way for people to get cheaper houses and allow the seller to recoup some funds from the house

The point of all the taxes in the game is to remove money from the economy. Selling a house or renting it defeats the purpose.
Furniture is one of the few things we can own and then sell. We should own the house too, and we maintain the right to said house by paying taxes. If we are in good standing with those taxes, there is no reason we should not be able to sell the house.
If we cannot, then we are renting. So why are we paying taxes on rent?

Renting to others would be awesome if houses weren’t instantiated and much more effort to acquire. But like this it’s just something which might work for a few weeks until people figure out its cheaper to own their own instantiated house since rent > taxes is required else it’s a loss for the landlord.
I really hope they rework housing at some point. Remove instances and let build players residential areas around towns.

Territory Upkeep fee. I know everyone thinks town ownership is pure profit, but keeping people happy with low taxes, upgrading everything to tier V, fixing everything after all the invasions, all comes at a heavy cost.

That’s not the issue. If I was green and purple has taken over our town, I should have a choice to sell my home and not just abandon it over to an enemy faction or pay their taxes.
Just sounds more complicated and the game has other priority issues to deal with. Just fix the property tax is the solution. These puff ideas are not helping and just seems like more work.
I’m not disagreeing with you that the territory tax isn’t expensive. However, are you willing to pay territory tax weekly to an enemy faction that took over your town?
Don’t pay taxes on it then unless you need it.
