So far I had my female character in full plate and never in a dress, so when I saw people complain about the female animations I didn’t really understood the problem… until I just put my heroine in a dress and noticed her trying to pretend she was a male bodybuilder and walk all tough-like in a pretty dress. It looked insanely stupid!
I have nothing against over-sexualized animations, in fact I love them, but that is not what I am asking for here. I just want the women in the game to walk…well… like any normal woman with such a figure would walk and run naturally!
In fact it is perhaps rather sexist to force females in this game to walk and run as if they had male genitalia. Ain’t it?
Maybe since there is the whole pronoun thing and bearded ladies thing going on in the game… add the choice between male and female animation? I am rather surprised the woke brigade hasn’t turned up yet claiming a lack of inclusion! Sure almost all leaders in the game are female and there are characters with all sorts of skintones , but where is the bearded lady that was forced to walk the plank and decided the plank was a catwalk?! Shame on you AGS, she/he/they deserve a place!
All kidding aside, let the girls be girls if they so desire in this game please.
Indeed, they walk normally, not like men since they ain’t men. There is a subtle, but important difference between the male and female walk that is not in the game now.
Since all avatars act the same, that makes NW gender neutral. Placing any form of masculinity or femininity on said actions, is your own personal gender bias.
A while back, there was a thread about this subject which got deleted, I guess it derailed a little.
I remember saying then that the aesthetic choices made by AGS, particularly with regards to female avatar and their gear, were probably made with the objective of not being offensive to people of different cultures all around the world.
Lets please do our best to not have this thread also dissolve into arguments about life outside of Aeternum. We hear your feedback, you would like to see more walking animations available to characters. For example, in GTA you choose the way your character walks. I hear the ask and will share it with the right folks on the team.
You may be right, but wouldn’t that be more in regards with the clothing? They did recently claim they would be adding more feminine clothing and I have no doubt they will keep it safe from being offensive.
In general our character customization is fairly basic and so there is a lot of room to collect feedback on how players would like to see it improve over time.
Hello, I wanted to ask 2 questions. 1-I got a combine set thanks, but 5000 gold disappeared from the inventory. Is the gift of Seth harvesting related to Golda’s disappearance?2 question, it is very interesting and in the future is it expected to change the gender of the character for individual items and change the name of the character.
