Literally companies, guilds and friends just give it to each other. As soon as I hit 60 I almost had max GS and more gold than I knew what to do with. That’s stupid. I should have to earn stuff in the game, otherwise what’s the point of playing?

I actually agree with the OP here.

I don’t think folks should be able to sit in town or only harvest and be able to craft end-game gear and then flood the market with it.

However, the fact is that AGS DID set things up this way, to begin with. If they wanted to fix that, they could add new higher GS items that can only be attained through content completion. Instead, they are going to shit on the people that put in all the time to grind the mats and craft the gear?

I agree, but that requires adding more content. Increasing the GS would be a lot more work than just saying “hey you have to earn powerful items outside of just spending some gold / gathering for a bit”

It’s not a good solution, but with how the game is right now? I think it’s better than delaying content which the game is sorely missing (according to everyone complaining) to address the issue.

I think what you need to understand here is that the reason people are pissed is because of the WAY AGS is going about making these changes.

I see and can sympathize, but at the same time it’s necessary. People failing to comprehend that this will be better for the game overall is what’s getting old.

It’s one thing to create new, more difficult content with greater rewards, it is quite another to make the places you used to be able to handle impossible all of a sudden. It feels shitty. It just does.

I mean telling players they have to play the game in a different way while they make content is better than baking out some half assed content to try and fix the problem, have people bitching the content is bad and likely rushing through it anyway imo.

Again, I think AGS is just handling these issues poorly and should focus on more elegant solutions that respect the time and effort players have already invested.

I mean, what do you think would be a better solution that could be implemented quickly? Trying to create all new content for higher GS is gong to take too long. The games less than a few months old and people were maxxing everything out within a month.

Apparently they were unwilling to carve out an exception for the crafter of said gear such that the maker could get the watermark out of what he or she crafted. Which makes bothering with crafting your own gear an objectively stupid waste of time.

How do you make money sitting in town? It would help if you had something to make money. You can’t sit in town and make money without money. To begin with, to buy these expensive items, people have farmed and are willing to sell at a high price.

Have you seen how much money owning a territory rakes in? Also, high prices? I’m on a dead server and everything’s dirt cheap, I can’t imagine what it’s like on a populated one.

Don’t get me wrong, I have over 800+h on new world I have maxed all my GS farmed tons of mats and levelled my profession, although I can make godlike gear, no one will need that from now on since the people who buy stuff would also need to max out their gs to use them, so all the craft are now worth nothing except for the few who has max gs and if they have max gs they probably also able to craft or have a company, crafters.

But people can still level their GS into the godly gear, it literally doesn’t change anything. The gear is still going to be insanely expensive and worth it to craft. Imagine hitting 60, buying the best gear in the game and never having to worry about drops…then just leveling into it? That’s how it’ll be

So sell your T5 mats now as massive deflation is coming with people pay min 600g per days just to get an expertise upgrade.

Doing the opposite, honestly. The way they’re tweaking how T5s drop, they’re going to be going up in price, not down. They already are on my server. One matt in particular was going for 1g when I started. Today they’re 20g a piece. Before they raised I bought a ton and now I’m gonna be rich.

If the game didn’t intend for us to do that, they should’ve been more transparent about it, and we wouldn’t have bought the game in the first place.

I just meant from 1-60 it doesnt have sharable quests, most grinding is solo, and the true PvE content (expeditions) doesn’t have their intended mythic+/increasing difficulty yet. Also they time gate the expeditions with orbs. So people are forced to do boring chest/elites, which no one really enjoys — majority left because of this content already.

Yeah i agree, It’s a new game though and it’s already really good. All new content will just make the game better, imo.

RMT will always be a problem but if you say, made all gear bind on pickup, then anyone who did buy gold would still need to grind up skills or grind up HWM to get decent stuff.

Items give different buffs than what they describe, some buffs dont work at all, buffs stuck and make people invisible, most of these were ingame for months, you want more?
