This game and launch had some endemic problems with it from the beginning and while AGS is trying to fix things, it’s clear that many changes are tone deaf and make the game even more unenjoyable. Like a lot of people playing, I’m a longtime MMO veteran from the early 2000s having played mega and indie MMOs alike and have noticed the same glaring issue as others, there’s no real, fun, end game content. It’s even worse if you’re on a dead server (and transferred to that dead server to play with friends while it was still busy enough to have queues). I hit 60 over 2 weeks ago and would play during most peak hours (weeknights anywhere from 6 - 12 and weekends throughout the day and night) and have not done a single outpost rush. Not for lack of trying. Most times when I queue I’m one of only two or three people in the queue, most I’ve ever seen is 11. I guess invasions are fun and I’m actually part of one of the few large and coordinated companies still left on the server that controls multiple territories but with a waning player base in a player driven game, even the quality of those are getting worse.
The lack of real endgame content is the problem and they’ve only made it worse by buffing the elite outdoor zones. Those zones are going to be impossible now on low/dead servers like mine. Endgame dungeons like Genesis and Lazarus would be a good answer as you only need 5 people, but no one wants to waste their precious tuning orbs to wipe in a dungeon with people they don’t know until someone inevitably quits and ruins the run.
I understand wanting to create barriers, but it’s a poor game design decision when you have players who have been 60 for weeks who haven’t even seen the inside of any endgame dungeons.
Maybe it’s better on a high pop server, but since they’ve seemingly forgotten about merging servers and don’t even offer a paid transfer option, more and more players are just going to stop playing. It could just be that I ate up the hype like others, hoping New World would be the next big MMO, in reality, it’s following the same route as I see with a lot of MMOs that flop not long after launch: huge initial player base, many fall off and as the endgame content is reached and realizing that there’s no payoff even more quit, leaving one or two populated servers of players who have a cult following of the game.
And that’s ok. I also stopped logging in as even before the buff to Mykgard and nerf to chests, you had to hope to catch one of the 3 or so elite trains that ran a day on my server to get those chests. I’m assuming with this new buff, my server won’t have the capability of even doing that. But I’ve got plenty of other games to focus on. Maybe AGS will pull a realm reborn, but most likely, it will become an MMO with a cult following and probably ~20k peak players.

Performance fixes and also patching some drops from some enemies that were dropping a crap ton of motes.
Oh so yesterday they fucked up my farm of earth quintessence as after the update it dropes only motes and now they want to fck it up even more by making it drop less ? 
2.5 hours to change a number 
and Performance should be tested before they roll out a patch and not just look what happens when it goes live.

As you stated your server is dead. Kinda a simple fix dont you think. Transfer to a large one or wait for server merges. On my server outpost rush constantly happen, there is around 3-5 wars a day. Constant invasions, so much pvp now because of the pvp buff and constant dungeons / myrk mines runs ect going on. There was also huge pvp fights for influence happening constantly as well.
But it is a new game, much much more content to game as seen in the datamined stuff. Just gotta give it a bit of time, they already pumping out tons of fixs and updates atm. All be it some bugs coming however but at least they are fixing it.

lol. the motes they dropped were so many that you actually got more quintessences out of it than before the patch where you’ve got quintessences instead of motes. of course they lower it.
Why transfer when the merges are announced already? Senseless to waste the token now
I mean the mote update they shouls probs go and make 1/2. Or at least make the other motes easier to get as well to balance it out instead of currently have motes that 1.5 g on our server and then some at 0.1.
I’m really regretting not logging on after the update, took a day off and missed that farming oppurtunity. 
Yh I farmed loads of them yesterday, now just need to log in and take all of them from TP if not sold already cuz I bet the prices will go up again
I mean, that’s what I was hoping was the problem for me being on a dead server. I had already used my token to transfer over here to play with friends in the first place. If I could pay Amazon $20 to transfer off of here, I would have by the end of my first week being 60 realizing my server is a non-starter. But I do think the literal gatekeeping on dungeons with orbs is a problem. If there was no requirement to enter Genesis and Lazarus, you would at least see runs of those posted constantly even on dying servers since you just need 5 people. But with the huge barrier of entry and all the risks associated (and again, not being able to use it to farm WM) there isn’t much left to do on servers like mine sadly.
So, yea, I likely will just wait for a merge to happen and see if that helps.
