Im on yggdrasil us west and there is hardly anyone on in it. Fresh start servers have stolen the spot light and for good reason. Bots havent screwed up the market, the territories are earned by fair means in fresh start servers… well as fair as it gets with a 50 person company with heavily experienced people with the 50+ members purpetuating territory ownership in the form of shell companies that pump money into a machine through an organized collaborative elite. It was not even 4 hours until the first territory was purchased for 100k. and i cant help but admire that. Even though this popularity contest serves to keep a select few at the top of the list.
This is not true. I hear people complaining of bots constantly on FSS.
Also, apparently big RMT sellers had some gold dupe they saved for FSS and they immediately were selling vast amounts of gold on FSS? Just a rumor I heard though.

Yes. If you want an abundance of really good 2 perk gear for low prices then come to legacy.
It peaked at over 1700 players on a Tuesday. I’d hardly say that’s “hardly anyone in it”.

Ah yes, the good old “everyone on legacy servers either is a bot, dupes items or buys gold with real money and non of those things exist on fresh start servers” conversation…

What is fss?
I give new world a month, maybe two before its back to 50,000 daily concurrent even with the fss fresh start servers. They bet on the early game experience revamp, but they dont seem to realize the lack of end game replay value, lack of new pvp content, and generic pve grind is not gonna retain players in the long run

Play on legacy if you want somewhat “stable” economy and “stable market for purple items”. Won’t really recommend if you want to try out full content since some people segregate others depending on how you play the game.
Play on Fresh Start Worlds if you want things fresh and later on a stable market on orange items not to mention a stable market from 0 to 100. No major companies winning vast amount of gold for almost free.
While some joined FSS because of dupes and exploits (on legacy) i wouldn’t say those gold dupes actually impacted much and if they did w/e, they for sure did not impact more then territory income free money companies received. And so far no dupe has happened in FSS and if did it would get sinked pretty fast and prolly the dupe gets fixed, just like happened in legacy and prolly gets reverted or banned, but the taxes income of 3-7m remained for around 1 whole year… and thats really too much.

it is true. Bots and dupes have corrupted legacy servers for nearly 12 months. A new player will be light years behind in gathering/generating wealth on a legacy server.
Look, I still enjoy my legacy server. Still have a couple friends that log on and do stuff and we stack bodies like cord wood all across the land. However we have been together since launch and amassed more coin and resources than can ever be used. That isn’t a good time for new players.
As much as I didn’t want it to happen, and still think it has set a terribad precedent for the future of New World, FSS are the way forward. FSS gave AGS a way to save their game without doing a ‘realm reborn’ style game reset.
Can you imagine the outrage of the seven people that still played NW religiously 16+ hours a day if AGS would have just reset/wiped all existing servers? I can taste the sweet salty QQ now, would have been glorious.
Instead AGS did a second launch without touching all the corrupted trash that continues to fester on legacy servers. Brilliant way to allow what they couldn’t and wouldn’t fix to wither and die a slow death as all the focus and interest is on FSS.

There will be no distinction between the two in 3-ish months, but there really is no reason not to play on FSS right now.

Hmm. Never had spam come to think of it.
Considering the game was down to 16k concurrent a few months ago, 50k concurrent after BS and FSS hype has died down would still be a big improvement.
They are merging legacy servers. Altho I think they should wait a bit more to see how retention on FSS behaves after the event is over. But then that means legacy players have to put up with all that. So maybe better to merge them now
They still havent found an everlasting game loop that can maintain a certain level of entertainment. Instead they have focused on momentary sessions of entertainment but fail to ensure that it is all inclusive. The territory wars are pretty well locked to a particular group i suspect is about 250 to 300 regulars per server. This is why i push for open world pvp matches like using the forts and tends for capture the flag as a function to gain progression on territory control. I also push for open world corruption invasions on the towns themselves with corruption attacks becoming more common and increasing dissiculty if the breaches are not kept in check.
If you’re new to New World, do yourself a favor and start on the Fresh Start Servers.
Why? Because the Alpha Test (Legacy) servers are tainted with issues, exploits, etc. that were never truly taken care of. The economy is screwed and inflation is ridiculous. You’ll be playing on one end of the spectrum. That is, one end will be players decked out in gear and gold the other spectrum are under geared and light years behind.
Players on those Alpha servers want you to stay, so they can have someone to play with and bully to make them feel good about all the “hard work” they put into the game. You don’t need to join those servers to feed into that. They can play amongst themselves. If they don’t have anyone to play with, they should join the Fresh Start Servers and start over, like everyone else.
Fresh Start Servers is actually feeling like the true “launch” of this game, so much smoother and less issues, exploits, etc. The game is just more refined now than before and this should have been the New World experience to begin with.

I think the most fair and objective accurate statement that can be made is that right now. If you start TODAY, you are behind.
Doesn’t matter if you join a legacy or fresh start, someone already owns all the territory. Someone has all the ward sets, there are already max level crafters.
You will not catch up in the horizontal grind, everyone will already have more than you and continue to amass more than you.
The great part about that, is being a horizontal grind means that as soon as you make it to 625 on your ward/pvp set, there’s no higher to go, only sideways.
But truthfully, if you didn’t start day one on FSS you already missed it. And the server will continually drift into being legacy2 week by week.
That’s not bad, but it’s also not better. It’s still got that new smell and that’s nice. I like that for people who just started. Eventually they will open transfers to legacy as things die down and they will eventually all just be -Servers-
If you haven’t figured it out yet though, you have the same problems legacy does, you just can’t smell it yet. lol.

yeah thats a lie for Fresh Start Server and before you start i wouldn’t care for your claims that x server already has a guy with full orange bis pvp or pve set.
Give me a video of that guy opening nw, entering the fresh start and then showing the full set, otherwise just lies.
Anyway nobody is obligated to nothing here, it is just opinions upon opinions.
But to FSS be like legacy it will take much more amount of time then it took to legacy be legacy. I really dont know where you guys are coming from about this issue 
it is not like there is 7m per week flowing around FSS, and we dont even have 2 weeks of FSS yet i think? Chill 
And yes i dont care on being wrong, but so far was only wrong once, which was that i was thinking ags should improve the game and i had the right to whine when they did not improve.
But i was told that i paid 40 dollar and still played even with the game broken, so i dont have the right to whine about anything to ags, and since i did not have any more arguments for that, then i accepted it and know i am wrong.
im not really stubborn so yeah if want to prove do it if not then w/e too.
and another lie is the merging with fss to legacy damn man
