NEW ENEMIES: THE VARANGIAN KNIGHTS

Are these new enemies going to be actually “new” and come with different animations or is it just a reskin of a zombie wearing armour?

Was any of the feedback taken into consideration or is this a like for like of the ptr with no changes?

No feedback were taking into account and no changes were made from day 1 of the PTR, So basically, they just showed off what they made and wanted to see if everything ran fine. Asking for feedback was just a way to make us think they care

AGS doesn’t give two shits about your feedback unless they think it’ll bring in big munniez.

im going to predict the greataxe buffs will have extra zeros in and the damage will be increased by 1000%

Apparently so.

Nice pic btw

Get ready to get totally raped in wars and opr by people who chose the higher skill tier of healers and mages now just grabbing an axe and destroying you - you aint seen nothing yet

I just finished an outpost match where the enemy team was 90% ax and hammer, I can’t take it anymore and now these weapons have improved, I’m not buying it.

AGS was never going to change any of the balance based on feedback. That wasn’t what the PTR was for.

It was just to make sure there weren’t gamebreaking bugs discovered and also a preview.

Even when they announced the PTR, the FAQ specifically said this was all in the final testing phase and they told us last week they were rolling this patch out this week.

We were all just deluding ourselves, but they were pretty clear from the start that they didn’t want our input on their actual direction, just making sure the stuff works mostly.

I mean, they have listened, they have seen the feed back. They will probably see how this patch goes, and address it accordingly next patch.

AGS does not care about your feedback, they just want you to think they do.

Ye, changing things would be more testing to avoid new bugs or testing balances. There is no time in their roadmap because of all mess they made last weeks.

They are unlikely to respond with a true answer, which is probably:

“Our combat balance team made these changes because they started this work two weeks after launch, and we do not incorporate up to date data while we are working on changes. Your feedback will go into a future sprint planning session, and if we find your complaints valid, will work to incorporate it. Expect this process to take about 6 weeks. Please don’t all become mdps during this time as that will cause everyone else to quit. We really need a big group of you to allow yourselves to be punching bags until we can fully flush out our combat system. Thank you - AGS combat design team”

Out of interest, were these constructive feedback opinions or FS users wanting to keep easy wins?

Genuine question, not insulting anybody here.

There was lots of actual constructive feedback and in any event, the changes do not accomplish the stated goals. If there are any pvp mages left, they will be running the same builds as before.

Everyone agreed that the heavy freeze on IG needed a cool down. Most were fine with incorporating one of the nerfs to entomb, just not all of them as it makes it completely useless for pvp now. The other IG skills all suck, and they didn’t provide any reason to switch to them other than making existing skills also suck more. That isn’t a reason to switch skills, it just makes ppl not play it at all.

The changes to bow also aren’t going to change playstyles. And most importantly, the changes will not in any way result in less GA users and Hammer users from using their exact same abilities. If they cared about balance at all, they would have reduced the range and CC duration of these - but they don’t care about balance, they seem to only care about making easy game play for these classes easier.

I can only assume, they have good mage pvp players in their QA dept. and an autoclicker for their mdps players.

Thank god they dont listen to all the feedback by backseat developers.
Sure some of it is good, but most of it is just angry neckbeards that know nothing of developing a game or balancing.

you been paying attention to the forums?

lol

I cannot speak about others. I can only speak for myself. If we are talking about the release version, fire staff users never had it easy, not even the levelling part which should also be apparent to anybody who plays the game; who has the most melee with some healing behind wins the game. So, in my case, my feedback was to keep some form of relevance in the game.

To me, easy is having a no cost & no cooldown jump ability roughly at the range of a light dodge while also wearing heavy armor, mobility, AoE crowd control and exceptional damage.

Since fire staff do not have a no cost & no cooldown jump ability roughly at the range of a light dodge while also wearing heavy armor, mobility, AoE crowd control and exceptional damage. I expected them to be able to their job, the only thing a fire staff is good for, to deal damage.

It’s still their game. And how do you listen to thousands of players mostly all wanting something different? ( realize we tend to think what we want is what everyone wants but no one ever asks me what I wanted).
