I'm missing a quest item and cannot progress the quest line

I am missing an Impression Kit , which is needed to take a rubbing from an Ancient Plaque in the “Secrets of the Swamp” questline in Reekwater. I’ve cleared the area multiple times, thinking I get it from chests or mobs to no avail. I contacted live support and received a ticket# blank. I got an email with links to my amazon account, but it is running me in circles without an answer as to what may be the problem. I cannot even tell where to look at the stupid ticket. I just need to know my next course of action in the game to recover this item to finish this damn quest. This ticket system sucks. I worked at Amazon and I know damn well they have a better ticket system than you are employing here. The quest description itself, makes no mention of where or how to acquire this item. This is madness.

Hello @jeffreyz88,

Welcome back to the New World forum, I’m really glad to see you are here at the forums and hope you can enjoy your time here and at the game as well!

Sadly we don’t have access to review tickets or any information related (I can advice you to remove the ticket number for security reasons), in either case I can advice you to create a new ticket via player support using the following link: Contact Us | Amazon Games to create a support ticket and review your case in more depth.

Please make sure to add the DxDiag and Gamelogs through a sharing link from a Cloud Storage like Google Drive to the support report, you can pull it following this steps:

DxDiag report:

  • Go to Windows Start search bar and type dxdiag.
  • Click on dxdiag.exe.
  • When green progress bar goes away, select Save All Information and save the file to their desktop.

GameLogs:

  • Game logs can be found on: \Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\AGS\New World\CrashDB\reports\

If you need further assistance in any other issue please don’t hesitate in reaching us again!

Cheers!

First, direct X diagnostics will do nothing but give you the specs of my computer, and that is personal , not need to know for you. Everything was working as intended. Second, that Crash database report does not exist on my computer. I’ve searched my whole computer.
The game has been working perfectly fine. I have previously dropped and restarted the quest to no avail. I’ll need some real help, not generalization. This ain’t my first MMO kid. Please offer up some real solutions or possible explanations. I’ve also run repair in steam. Get me off this customer no service hamster wheel of fail and get me some TECH support.

Hi there,

Allow me to provide you some visibility into the process to solve your concern, when you create a ticket for support we need to add the DxDiag and the Gamelogs to the ticket as a default, is required information for the dev team to review your concern.

Additionally the Gamelogs can be under a hidden folder, ones that you can see following this steps:

  1. In the search box on the taskbar, type folder, and then select Show hidden files and folders from the search results.
  2. Under Advanced settings, select Show hidden files, folders, and drives, and then select OK.

This is in order to be able to provide the needed information to the dev team and that they can help you with this specific quest, I apologize if the process is a little long or is not what you expected however this are the steps that need to be followed, if you create the ticket without some of the information mentioned it will be delayed until you provide us all the files.

Hope that this can give you some clarity with the process.

Cheers!

OK.
I appreciate that you are being professional. I also appreciate that you knew my files were still hidden. Thank you for that.
But, unless you can tell me exactly what bullet points you need out of my DXDIAG report, I cannot give you the whole thing. That is VERY intrusive information you are asking for. If you can tell me specifically what you need to see of that report, so I can snip it, then we are at a stalemate. Your default requirement on your script means nothing to me. Finishing that quest at the cost of seriously private information, is not worth it. There are too many other games to play in this world. Sure, companies take information like that without my knowing, it happens like that. I cannot, in good conscience, provide that much information to you. You cannot prove to me that it will be protected indefinitely or properly deleted. Have you read those?
Tell me specifically what is required and I can snip it out. I have never had a customer service agent of any game ask for that kind of information. Game file logs yes. The very specific details of my personal computer and registry keys, never. This is not relevant to this case.
This is a blatant disregard for my privacy. I need you to escalate this.
I will write a personal letter about it to Christoph Hartmann to find out why this is absolutely necessary, by default, for a god damn missing quest item.
You haven’t even tried, you are just reading a script. Think for yourself.
I am not just some PVP MMO drone.
