Im not sure what build I want to play, and I cant afford to find out

I have been playing Spear/bow launch, and its been getting stale. I want to try out other weapons and combinations that require different stat setups, but between of the games ridiculous respec cost, the cost of leveling trade skills, and the utter lack of any means to make gold after running out of quests leaves me with no way to be able to afford experimentation.

Your game is built around the idea of playing multiple game modes that require different builds. This poorly thought out respec gold sink is killing any motivation to try new things and theory craft because of the sheer amount of resources I have to put into just TESTING different stat combinations.

Respecing needs to be free, or at the very least HEAVILY reduced. By like 80-90%. There are plenty of other ways to create gold sinks (not that your current version of the game needs LESS gold) that don’t make your game a pain in the ass to play.

If you are intent on keeping this severe inconvenience, at a MINIMUM, make it so that you can cancel a respec at anytime before committing your points, so that players can check the damage scaling of different stats without spending 500g just to LOOK.

I’d strongly agree. There are a number of bugs, if players feel free to experiment, we’ll find more bugs and make it easier for Amazon to get combat to a stable place. I saw a post about not wanting to go over 249 strength because of a bug, I’ve seen posts about bugs with jewel-elemental damage scaling - all of these things a lot of us would be happy to explore and detail for devs, but when it costs an unreasonable amount of gold people are just going to stay on their specs.

You’re right about the different modes too, are you going to spec into optimal stats for a war? What if you want to run a dungeon later? What if it’s the 5th war you’ve defended in within a week, are you going to constantly switch stats back and forth? Maybe even an hour cooldown on respeccing stats instead of gold, locking out a respec once a war has begun, etc. would be a better approach.

Even if Amazon is set on keeping gold costs tied to respecs, at least for now - temporarily make it trivial so people can explore different specs and help identify bugs.

Finding more bugs isn’t a reason I had considered, but given how many bugs there are on my current weapon set, its reasoning I can get behind.

Seen it suggested from others, so Ill post it here. Higher tier town board missions need a significant buff to their gold reward. Why would I give up 40-90 T4/T5 materials for 4 gold at level 60 when I could sell them on the TP for significantly more. Town boards are still necessary for advancing the town, so give level 60s a reason to keep doing them and increase gold income in the process.
