Im so frusrated with AGS decisions right now

Kindly share with us examples of in-game telemetry that you take in consideration for balancing purposes, like a real life one.

And I agree with OP, why don’t you just remove Mortal Empowerment? It was this item that started everything, now the Musket will have do deal with it.

We actually had a dev video a while back that had a section centered around weapon balance!

@Luxendra. It’s hard to believe a statment like this when FS/IG are literally playing like hot garbage with lots of threads with no responses from CMs for several months now. These animation bugs have been going on for months upon months upon months crossing the threshold of a year.

Muskets can now load power shot and burn while moving = Buff

Hit your mark applies to all shots over 100m (not just HS/crit) = Buff 15%

The 50% reduction in fall off damage is about 80-100 damage, less than the increase from the recently added runeglass gems.

Overall this is a buff to the musket…

People have tested it, the damage reduction is 80-100 damage difference. The runeglass gems already increased damage by more than this

Hit your mark trait now applies to all shots over 100m (not just HS/crit) = Buff 15% damage to normal musket shots

They can also load on the move now

Overall this is a buff to the musket, not a nerf…

It’s not even in PTR yet, don’t claim “people have tested it”.

You guys really deserve to be killed in 2 shots like the bots you are.

Dang one day after ptr notes and they get a reply from you. Yet mages have countless threads and crickets. Well guess we know where mages stand.

I’m talking about just removing the trait and trying it right now, so it will be even less since it’s a 50% reduction and not 100% (when you remove the trait completely)

I think mortal empowerment is the biggest issue with the weapon.

I can also understand getting killed at render distance is probably frustrating, so it would make sense to reduce the max range. The max range on the fire staff is 75m. The musket should hit further than that, so like 100m or 125m. If that’s the max render distance, then something lower than that :slight_smile:

For instance

It should be much less than the distance to render a player. Even with reaction time, melee will never survive the approach. Hence why the United States Army only uses ranged weapons now. Swords and firearms just don’t work on the same battlefield.

The idea is to catch it before the change goes live, that’s why we’re talking about it now.

All gatherable resources need removed because of bots. Dungeons shouldn’t be able to let you invite players after already starting it, because gold farmers sell the gold that they get from selling slots.

Chests, in open world, all need deleted…because gold farmers collect and sell the gold from them.

In fact, lets delete crafting. Gold farmers, and gold buyers, actively participate in “cheating” via buying and selling gear.

Apparently someone says there is a auto dodge type of cheat, so lets just delete the ability to dodge attacks.

Auto aimers can also auto aim bow and every other range spell…so lets delete them and all go melee.

BUT wait, there’s more. You can put macros to animation cancel hatchet attacks…so lets delete the hatchet.

Man…you see where I’m going with this? Changing something because of a cheater utilizing something…is a bad way to go.

Runescape did this with a few things…virtually killing pvp on their game. It won’t have a positive outcome to start changing stuff because of some players breaking rules.

Btw, I want hitscan removed…because it’ll be easier to hit targets. Easier to lead vs staying ontop of someone.

Yeah didn’t think removing player trading was a particularly smart move on their part back then haha. We need to shape things around what is enjoyable to play and not making adjustments to circumvent bots/cheaters as their priority. Ideally creative minds can find ways to do both, but RuneScape prioritizing against bots definitely was a dark time.

Wasn’t really talking about that…but that’s another good example of what happens when a game tries to make changes based around stopping cheaters.

Stop blaming empowerment, it’s not the cause. The problem is the type of gameplay encouraged by they extreme range, the need to go 50 con, and hitscan.M Empowered does not make any of the other weapons as powerful because they don’t have the same advantages. That said the perk is not problem never has been.
