This much we all understand, however my main point here is that if you invest 150-200 con on Musket you literally hit like a wet noodle. Bow can get away with 200 con and still manage to have good damage.
Musket is also hitscan making it very hard to miss. With bow you still have to lead shots.
Kutsuu used to play with 150 con and did very well.

Blunderbuss is also hitscan but that doesn’t mean people don’t miss with it. In fact, most Blunderbuss players rely on a stunlock chain combo just so they can 100-0 someone. Take away any form of CC and give them a blunderbuss and they wouldn’t hit more than 50% of their shots even on close range lmao. You guys should try playing CS or Valorant sometime so you can see that it’s not as easy as you think it is.
Kutsuu is a dear friend of mine, emphasis on “used to play” - since he quit New world for Lost Ark and he knows how bad Musket has it.
I’ll testify to this atleast, Bow is much easier to hit with when you’re using AoE abilities on a group of players (same with mage)
Bow didn’t get a dmg buff. I fought a LA guy yesterday in old myrk. My bow was hitting him for 800 dmg. I had 356 dex and Laz bow at 622 gs, and was using ori arrows. I know that don’t sound right but my whole group was like wtf?
I don’t know what that guy was wearing but he rolled so he was light. This is why you cant base damage off a test server.
The thing is though, my damage numbers are based off LIVE and not PTR so I’m not sure what your point is?

Yeah same, but my point was that the bow is still strong on Live, though it is evidently “clunky” with the root after shot etc. The buffs its getting are MASSIVE, meanwhile the Musket is left to dust and forced to camp on rocks because try playing 150-200 con with a Musket and you hit like a wet noodle on Live.
I feel for musket players but that doesnt really have anything to do with bow.
in what universe bow hits harder than FS? To deal the same amount of damage with bow I need to buff myself with food and use a honing stone and still one fireball will be doing more damage lmao. Don’t forget that 80% of ppl are running physical ptorection armor, not magic, so in magic weapons will always hit harder.
In other words, bow won’t be meta. It just will move from F tier, to somewhere at D/C. Maybe some musket users will switch to bow now but in general meta won’t be changed a lot. Magic and bruisers still will be op

go try on freind or on dummies - aa and skills if you want. its way harder to aim, but dmg is much better with bow
I was hitting a light armor user for 800 damage a couple days ago. In return he was melting me. I don’t care what your test dummies show.

as i wrote, most ppl wearing physcial reduction armor, it’s just mathematically impossible to hit lower on magic. You can ask every bow user, everyone will answer you that bow has weakest damage lol

You can test it on friend with any amount of resilient pieces you want. And i have friend playing bow that were saying same you are. So i ask them to play FS instead of bow. And u know what? They wanted to get back to bow fast since fs feels weak Grass is always greener the other side. Just check the numbers and stop imaging things.
that’s why I got two sets one for physical one for magic plus I can swap pieces. best part is that it costed no extra money I just used some of the alright roles or roles that were best for one or the other while trying for bis
I mean this just isn’t true. FS heavy hitbox is the same as bows and bow hits 1/3 more from what I have tested.
I guess we will just have to sit back and see how the ‘why did you let this bow go live’ complaints come in followed by the inevitable damage nerfs - and remember all the people on this forum screaming it’s no big deal.
I’d like to reiterate again that currently most of the bows people are facing on the PTR are the top bow players from every server, so it’s harder to gauge it’s true potential when 90% of those players would destroy you on live with a bow aswell.

This isn’t true because I tested it on someone who had never even played range before and he was going around winning most of his duels.
No the other guy is right. I am a sweaty bow player and have encountered many other if my kind testing out long sought after bow buffs.
Bow is fine even though its easier to aim most people cant use it. Only difference for me is I dont have to be point blank to use it anymore.
