Think outside of the box a bit…like mentioned above, direct transfers are not the only way to accomplish this…
In no way does this magically cause a surge in income of gold for a server. It’s literally a transfer of wealth. No gold is imported in this exchange so it has zero effect on gold income and gold sink.
I don’t know how much RMT gold is on an FSS server but I bet it’s massively inflated compared to legacy.
RMT or not, nothing changes.
Oh you mean they shouldn’t have started FSS yet? Oh my who could have predicted this…
Except you can’t transfer wealth from legacy servers to FSS anyhow.
Xd 0 effect on FFS still gold from bots. People selling gold on FFSs since day 2… until 25 you will have ~10k just by doing quests… its just 2-3 hours - 10 characters at once on bot and you will have 100k in 2-3 hours, and you can do that in endless loop. But no proofs if there are people who do that, its just an example. Maybe there are, while creating a macro program which will do quests for you is not so hard nowadays… People will always cheat esp. In video games why you even bother about that just have a great time… Effect on you will be tiny … same as a dupes we had. Had it effect on economy somehow ? No.
so not really missive at all when u have a 30-50 + man guild run 3 dungeons 500 coin each run (45 man) that 45x3=135, 135x 500= 67,500 coin might take an hour of your time max 2 hours the ENTIRE WEEK so it ant hard to pay territory taxes at all if you worried as a guild to keep the server healthy
Well it seems that i was right.
At least on both servers i am on gold is sinking well and prices are pretty much well too.
t4 tools for 250-500G once t5 comes out prolly will be prolly around 1k and lower to 500-800G.
But gotta say at first ppl were trying to sell the t4 for around 1-2k each
prolly just some legacers tryna be smart.
Oh yeah and settlement are pretty much growing normally too… bit hard… but growing, so it seems the 97% was the right call.
While bots and rmt never was my issue since it pretty much impossible to avoid a hacker who lives out of those things, but i am all hands to trying to stop them, but eitherway it doesnt affect at least not FSS since it is just a money that is going from a hand to another without ingame currency/trade, but hope more systems comes to avoid it.
Its not around 1,5-2k pure gold from single dungeon?
that is not part of what i was referring to.
umm… Yep.
if i have 0 gold and buy 100000 gold via RMT, then i have gold on FSS.
Also not part of what i was talking about…
no one does.
I was replying to the other guy who implied what you stated was an example of…
So I quoted your comment because I felt like that’s what he was referring to when he said…
Was referencing someone implying that buying RMT gold on an FSS server was…
legacy gold flooding the FSSs

No, it’s literally not.
First off, you do not understand the different parts of the new system.
Yes, the part that distributes the coin throughout the territories is good. I’d prefer it was an even split of the trade tax but whatever.
The second part is how upgrades affect income. Again, I agree that upgrades should be incentivized but the system they implemented breaks down with poor economies. Tell me, why should a server with 500 players at peak pop be paying the same in upkeep as one with 2500 peak pop? How do you not understand this?
The last part of the new system is the upkeep modifier. I think this a no-brainer considering that each territory doesn’t get the same split.
I’d encourage everyone to read the dev blog for themselves and not rely on these kinds of hot takes.
I knew about this system way before the dev blog came out and responded to the dev blog the day it came it. Maybe you should try doing the math too.
The new system has been live on the PTR for a while now. Now AGS has recently released a Dev Blog further explaining how the new system works. But there’s a large number of problems with their solutions. *This is only part one too (called “the rewards”), currently assuming part 2 will be about the company war requirements. Territory Split Taxes from all territories will now go into a global pool that is split between each territory. The amount that territory gets is decided completely by the …
We own MB on a legacy server and we’ve gotten it to level 31.
FSS started and we now peak at 850. Upkeep is 152,500 and our income is around 120k.
At almost max, we pay in to sustain the territory at 850 peak.
Then something magically happened and everyone was swimming in so much gold that goods were selling for more than gold cap.
Do you mean the deduction is a lot of the coin sinks such as the respec cost and the activation of end-game coin generation?
Everything’s connected, and probably at the center of it all is RMT.
Now you just sound like a conspiracy theorist.
Give FSS a few weeks. People will cave and buy RMT money to make up the shortfall.
That’s not how coin generation works. You don’t just buy coins and then there’s magically more of it on the server. It has to be generated from somewhere.
They changed the distribution of coin rewards during the leveling process and have cracked down on bots. If you think that “Legacy” servers have a hyper-inflated economy then why should FSS be paying the same in upkeep as them?

I typed to you in global and YOU IGNORED ME!!! What faction?
Even with all this whining i just hope if ags reworks this system again, they completely remove the free gold and leave all income to just be used on territory. I dont know why they always go with the hardest route to rework/fix things, it is really strange type of strategy in a work enviroment.
so idk if there is a protection system in place w the initial invasions but so far no one has downgrades from the initial invasions losses
I will say upgrades are coming in our server slowly but methodically.
it’s been keep all power leveling roughly in check.
none of the owners are yet at profit and it took till the weekend for all zones to get claimed.
I think once the decouple station requirement from refine/craft that is on the ptr the crafting will pickup.
it’s still probably a bit overturned against ownership and they can and should probably soften the curve of the gold sink and upgrade requirements.
but overall it’s playing better imo.
