Implement name plate LOD settings

Let us pick whether we want to ONLY see Full, Medium, Small nameplates

  • Our nameplate system currently has three levels of details (LODs): Full, which shows everything; Medium, which shows the name and guild crest but hides other non-key info like the Chat Bubble; and Small, which is just the small diamond version.

should be a small icon over their head, 3 variations for armor load, 2 bars one for stamina, 1 for health, and the name over it.

then choice to reduce the visuals. (please let us reduce nameplate opacity i cant see shit behind people.)

as you said.

Thanks for the interesting suggestion andork.

One small question before I pass it over to the developers.

How would this in specific make playing a more enjoyable experience for you?

It would reduce visual clutter when engaging in large scale fights. At the moment, nameplates clutter the view especially when using a ranged weapon.

For example: 2 of my teammates are melee killing an enemy. Their nameplates obscure the view of the enemy’s player model and I cannot assist them due to the visual clutter their nameplates create

Contextual fading of the nameplates is a possible solution. Nameplates would be less clutter if the nameplate became transparent when towards the it.

Team Nameplates should have priority or just always show up. That’s the change needed with nameplates. I want to try and work together with my team and PVP but I spend half my time looking for where they are.

Do you mean group members or team members?

Group Memebers, My bad.

Also the OPR markers for sol/star/moon are in the WORST location in blocks sight of ranger onttop of the walls , they literally hide in the icon…

Agreed I think contextual fading of nameplates/markers could solve some visibility issues

The group experienve requires a lot of coordination and trust. Years of mmorpgs have shown sadly some people cheat social systems and arent honest about their gear, consumables, specs etc.

When forming groups this sort of info helps ensure the people joining your group are properly setup to perform the roles they were invited for.
