Improve Heavy Armour Before Ranked Arena

In one of the recent Dev streams it was mentioned that movement in heavy armour is on the radar to be improved.

Please can this and other key balance changes happen BEFORE ranked arena goes live.

Medium Armour too, arguably the most useless of all 3 right now.

Medium is great tbh.
They should already fix the dodge animation lock on it and then everyone will roll medium again.

It mitigates so much damage the 10% damage bonus from light doesn’t even make up for it.
(That’s why I abuse it against light bowman with musket so I can eat damage and not die in 2arrows :smiling_face_with_tear:)

Yes it does. 10% is huge, people spend a valuable Ring perk for only 5% more type damage.

Plus Medium just gives short sidesteps, while Light Armour let’s you safely double roll into distance which is huge vs cc-heavy builds

I play both and Medium does not even come close to Light, barely gives more tankiness.

The issue here is as always what I’m
Preaching - fortify.
200con with 2-3x shirking fortification on light armor is basically a heavy armored tank.
Now strip the buffs away and see what happens.

Yes but mobility is a different issue. If you wear medium armor you are prepared to duel not to kite. If you are paired with a ranged weapon - bow musket firestaff ice gauntlet) than there’s no need for excessive mobility anyways

Not really, Fortify could use diminishing returns but it’s not the reason why Light Armour is preferred by most players over Medium - mobility and damage are.

Well preferences yes but I personally would still prefer medium for my musket how I used to play it before the dodge changes came but due to the dodge lock it’s simply not worth currently unless I need to fight a bow player where I require ridiculous damage mitigation ( resistances don’t help as mentioned INA different topic)

The thing what makes medium armour supreme is the amount iframes it brings especially on Dex with rapiers evade

Don’t get me started on that -10 stamina dodges DEX perk. :joy:

Stupidely broken when compared to perks of the other attributes.

ye I think maybe id be in balances case that Stamina is a untouched system where you cant buff or nerf or generate extra stamina or idk whatsoever anything so everyones got the same.
But that I think is wishful thinking right here :smiling_face_with_tear:
