Improved Influence System

I want to start off by saying the current influence isn’t working because of the shell company and mega company problems. I know the devs are trying to devise a way to solve this issue and what is in the PTR isn’t going to make it better but make it worse. A mega company can shell out 5-6 mega companies and push a territory in under 30 minutes. Here is what I propose the devs should do.

Require a minimum number of members to be allowed to push influence (minimum of 25 members)
By making it this requirement it will cut down on the number of shell companies that a mega company can make. As for small companies if you can’t slot at least half your roster then your company isn’t ready for war.

Cooldown on joining companies
Make it a cooldown of a week or a few days before a player can join another company. By having a cooldown, it will make it even more difficult for companies to make shell companies.

Lock companies
If a company currently has a declare or owns a territory, the company is unable to change their governor until after a week has passed. By doing this change, it will make it difficult for other companies to sell declares.

Percent of the war board
If a company pushed 10% of the influence, they deserve 10% of the war board. If a company pushed more then they deserve the percent, they pushed on the territory.

Show the amount of influence each company has contributed
Display a chart somewhere in the territory menu of how much influence each company has contributed.

P.S I know I am going to get a lot of heat for this post, but these changes are what is needed to stop the toxic behavior of mega companies. They are contributing to the decline in players and now that they are merging servers, you can’t get away from them.

Solution is simple , Controller should not controll taxe’s + tax’s ( Income gold ) shouldn’t go to the controller Company bank, ech city should have thier storage , and this tax’s should split between faction members > but contrroler Guild should get Atleast 20% of tax > but everyone should do some activity at ech map , which one is for thier faction > Like doing mission + warr + Fort > and there should be more activity for the faction > at ech towns , so people would get % of gold by geting contributed point , even guild master/member of town own should do that, and ech week this contributed % should be reset + Gold should be send automatically to the which player of faction work there.

Yeah more faction, less company. The companies killing the game may not like it, but I would rather have the game attract players, instead of see them forced out by the current game design.

There is alot of info how should work

This is personal contribute at 1 of maps , that is how should work , and end of week should be reset , + like ech daily give 100 contribute , weekly content 250-500 , depend on difficulty of content.

Just if i wana give more detail, for the territory ags should add more content , as daily quest / weekly content and etc to push thier contribute.

I took a bit of time yesterday to read through several threads about this and the shell company topic, and I organized what I found on a Miro whiteboard. What I’ve noticed is that there are two solutions front-running the suggestions between the forums, discord, and Reddit:

  1. A Company Roster requirement
  2. A Company Change cooldown

Hopefully, AGS will consider some solutions to work towards solving this issue, and consider other options as you’ve suggested too. Bump for visibility!

Well that is not bad , but again guild will control the tax , basicly just big company’s will have the profits , ags should care about casual player to , other way casual players never ever will make gold + what is the meaning of faction? Ags should give a meaning to it.

I agree that one or some of those solutions won’t fully solve the problem, there will undoubtedly be more work to do.

Yes but it needs to be done if they wish to retain players.

AGS please look at this idea.

We need more than this. We need AGS to do create a fix for shell companies in this update.

I was just pointed to this feedback post… I’ve got a slightly different take, but the core tenant being that a single company can’t own 100% of the taxes.

The reward system is in place to both reward player but also company…

I’ve reimagined it here:

YES! More faction, less company.

Right now there is no pride in being in any given faction, hell other faction people do not even seem like enemies.

Same issue in ESO. This is what happens when the game allows for all factions to take place in the same cities.

SWTOR and WOW got it right. Separate factions have their own zones and cities.

Of course this requires more development cost, and it appears to me that AGS wanted to create New World with the least amount of assets as possible.
