This exploit, and all the others will keep popping up as long as the game is on this engine. It is a straight up fact at this point.
The absolute best thing they can do for the longevity of new world is to rebuild it in a better engine. Leave this up for people to play with, but tell them the entire game is being built in a better engine. That way if problems keep coming up they can at least hire more programmers to squash it. With the lumberyard/azoth engine they cant since no one else uses it. This is a common problem in development. People keep using bad software because too much time/money has been sunk into it.
Rebuilding the game did wonders for Final Fantasy. I believe it is the only hope for New World.

This is a single musket shot from RFDGirthquake on CoS. He is using the exploit to hit for 10,683 damage per shot. My full thrust protect mitigated about 40%. Dont worry everyone, game is working as intended, and no one will be banned for cheating.

RFDGirthquake has been an exploiter. No surprise there. When I quit playing my character on CoS a few days after Brimstone patch he was, I just came back yesterday he was yet again.
He killed me once in OPR last night. Can confirm, did 11k to me.
Whatâs really funny is you can find cheaters like this (not specifically this guy but another well known cheater on east) constantly cheating in OPR, while simultaneously complaining on their twitter about how PvP is dying and people are quitting.
Because they are brain dead zombies that have no sense of any type of awareness. Itâs pretty sad, but at this point, they are who AGS caters to the most. So just expect more legit players to just quit. Till the point where only cheaters will remain. If New World hasnât already reached that point yet.
