In-Game economy

OK so I originally played when the game was first released and stopped playing because there were too many problems. I have recently returned and have noticed that the player economy could use some major overhauling to make crafting worth doing. Below is a list of ideas to help the player economy.

  1. stop dropping heal, regen, focus and mana potions and instead drop components for alchemy crafting. There are days when I get over 100 of each and prices are 0.01 per in the AH.
  2. Change the drop rate for pvp gear, as of right now almost 50% of all purple and orange drops have pvp oriented bonuses on them. not everyone enjoys pvp and by having so much of the pvp gear the developing team is pushing pve players away from the game.
  3. at level 60 gear should only drop as purple (590 or higher) or orange. Green and blue gear should drop for level 55 and below gear because level 60 players do is break it along with 90 to 95 percent of purple gear.
  4. make the player made items better than the drops except for a very small number of items in each category.
  5. make a change to the current crafting system to give crafters designation like master, grand master, etc… once skill level hits 200. These designation would allow crafters to make exceptional items on a consistent basis.
  6. While the AH is good the filtering system is seriously lacking.
  7. You should set up an area in each city that is accessed like player housing. Inside this area have vendor stalls that players can rent and sell their crafted items. This would encourage people to buy from crafters with master, grand master, etc… designations. People would become familiar with certain crafters and search out that crafters gear or potions or food over others.
  8. develop armor sets for the different classes (healer, DPS mage, Ranged DPS, Dex Melee DPS and STR Melee DPS) that is player made only that gives a bonus to each piece for protection and then a cumulative bonus for wearing the entire set.
  9. Instead of dropping so many junk items drop components and resources instead.

Mostly agree with you, but #8 doesn’t make any sense to me.
Also, you forgot to list Tanks in the list of classes.
Only reason they don’t exist in pvp right now is because they nerfed them into the ground.
They need to buff SnS so tanks actually have a use in PVP again.
