In Game Store is just Awful

They put in some stuff every month. But yea i understand what you mean. I still got all my coins from Prime gaming for the Shop. Nothing worth to buy now

How about put skins in the game we can go out and earn as either a drop from a boss or achievements. Rather than just paying money for them and add a transmog system so we can actually use the skins we earned in game whenever we want. Thanks

only thing I ever really buy from there now are dyes but sadly I can’t even use those since I use skins for my gear. Simply put, the armor I’m wearing is so ugly and bulky that I have to wear skins to look half assed decent.

Unfortunately I can’t just change the looks of my gear and dye it as well. Kind of defeats the purpose I would say.

I think besides the seasonal stuff they should just leave the monthly skins in the store permanently. The seasonal stuff for halloween, christmas etc. can obviously stay exclusive to that time period. It’s just odd how empty the store is on a regular basis because skins are rotating out.

There are definitely a couple skins that came out during the break that I took that I would happily drop some money on, but they’re not available for the moment, so yikes.

There will be new skins available soon since they removed the april ones today. But I agree, it should change more often.

I’ve played hundreds of games in 15 years, and New World’s Cash Store is THE WORST Store by Orders of Magnitude than the ‘Worst’ game Store on that possible list. It’s the only store I didn’t dare open because the skins scare and disgust me.

-Extremely unappealing skin designs, colors, brilliance, no glow as if this is an mmo from 1993

-Extremely unappealing characters, especially females. No diverse races and color skins.

-Extremely clunky and visually unappealing combat (especially compared to games like Lost Ark)

All because the devs restricted their creativity to the most boring setting possible. A lesson some novice novel writers learn quickly.

I keep trying to come back to the game, but I can’t. The game isn’t interesting enough. I’ve played 1300 hours and feel very unaccomplished in the game. Nothing to show for, nothing–ah whatever. Imma go read a book

I have actually liked some of the skins which is good, because as a female avatar the chest piece I have is the most ridiculous looking design imaginable.

AGS needs to profit from the NW and many players want to transmog.

would it be nice to sell an item that unlocks the game’s skin to be used by the character?

what else could be fun to have in store?

  • card game to challenge your opponent
  • buoy for the character to be able to swim. or it could be a ferry
  • an enemy player detector (alarm can be a small explosion)
  • bomb breaks the fourth wall (try to hit other people’s monitor)

@ralevesque Thank you for sharing your feedback regarding the in game store. I understand that you would like to see an increase in the frequency of item updates. Can you clarify what you mean when you say, “look good on a female character”?

Bro do you have any idea how mmo’s work? In your quiet mind, how do you think they pay employees?

Now I love to roll up female characters because I don’t want to stare at my male toons backside mostly hahahahahahaha but for female attire I would say stay away (only maybe holidays ofc) bright glittery princess outfits but make some attire more for the actual female population, women do play just as much and even I think you guys need better clothing that appeals to women’s eye and makes them/us (after all I do have a female toon and I’d like her to look like she’ll whop that ass but beautiful and sexy looking both) Not saying make some strange S&M type thing BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA but something that stands out that makes female players feel noticed and in game players would like to see their characters in something looking more feminine… For show in town, perhaps a city attire set/s. Female begger/commoner/upper and nobility town sets and then others like a female ‘priest’ (healer) outfit and other playstyle sets…female paladin armor set with a matching LS and S&S is another example

I actually like this idea to but as I said for mounts and time gates…immerse the two together. Make as they done for fishing, outfit rewards for each town, earning them through reputation level and a main mission for the town and for pvp’ers who only pvp, makes town pvp board missions the same. Once you get a certain rep lvl, you’ll need to do many missions in pvp (and not just stand there ‘guarding’ a place either, real pvp match missions that must meet a certain requirement for the town set) and still leave in game store going as well. I’m not sure how others may feel but to me, this sounds at least like a good start off point

This is truth.

I am shocked, actually, that AGS doesn’t put more resources into their store, given that NW is a Buy to Play, and that is their revenue source.

GW2 has been living of their Gem Store for years, and there is always something new, as well as a rotation of limited time offerings such as outfits and mounts.

I am shocked that this game is almost 9 months in, and still no name change items or appearance items.

I don’t know if it is Wokeness or what, but why can’t females look like females in this game? It doesn’t have to be running around with chain mail bras and underwear, you know. Females can have female armor. Historically inaccurate, but this is a game with skeletons and demons running around.

What that player said and what they mean are two different things…
What they mean is that there is no female avatar, and all clothes look they were made for a male character, because that is the only avatar form available. Hence, 95% of all the clothing looks male, and the few pieces of “female” clothing do not look right either because of the lack of a proper female form.

Which by the way, is why I have bought no skins from the store, but do agree with the current skins, which are garish to the nth degree.

@Tovic43 Thank you for your feedback. Clothing and armor are not really gendered in New World like they are in other media. While I am not sure that is a direction the team would like to go in, I will share your desire for more feminine attire in the in game shop.

This is an absolutely ridiculous take. It’s pretty standard for the genre at this point to have cool skills that you can earn via normal gameplay and a cash shop with additional skins. Sadly, New World has neither, because all the skins look like level 10 trash gear from any other game.

Actually I’d say over 85% of New World’s cash shop skins look worst than lvl 10 trash skins on other MMOs.(ESO, GW2, BDO, and FFXIV comes to mind)

Do you saw the post I answer? Please read again. And yes, I agree with you that the skins are ugly and the store is light, but this is another subject.

This has come up multiple times since the game launched. The community manager even asked for some examples of what “good” armor skins would look like and people provided screenshots from other media as examples. Yet we still have nothing appealing or worth buying the shop.

Go with some standard tropes. Armored Knight, Hooded Rogue, Swashbuckler, Pirate, Wizard.

It seems like they tried to do this, but the armor skins they came up with just don’t hit the mark. It baffles me.

I don’t think an anime or Korean MMO version of “more feminine attire” is what is needed, but most everything right now is gender neutral except for possible dying options. The absolute lack of options within the store does make the lack of diversity stick out, however.
