I am hoping someone may be able to help me out. I have never had a tech issue with this game before, it’s been running just fine since the last patch though, none of the voice files work. I can’t hear the boss mobs and my own character doesn’t say anything when casting spells anymore. I tried reinstalling ( I deleted the entire folder first) I never touched my audio settings and double checked them, everything is default. I asked my group if they can hear me cast and they said yes.

Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us, I’m so sorry to hear that your in-game sounds are not working.
Please try these steps:
- Close New World completely
- Close Steam
- Run Steam as administrator
- Check the game files on Steam
- Open New World.
- Check sounds.
If the issue persist please try re-installing the game, it’s possible that there’s something that is affecting your game installed. You can contact our live support chat to have them further investigate the issue and if needed escalate it.

I’m with that problem too. I’ve tried literally everything and it does not work. I even tried to reinstall the game but it just don’t work. Please… it’s really a big turn down for us that play mage classes.

This was over in bug reports earlier, it’s not just you for sure. I have the same issue.
