There was a limited perk pool on the corrupted heart gear and weapons.
They should do this for all gear. Obviously get rid of the 600-600 crafting, but have narrower perk pools on crafting different expedition sets.
Dryad Weapons and armor could have a narrower perk pool for gear crafted with those materials.
Likewise for Lazarus and Tempest gear.
Currently the armor is almost gauranteed chance to craft Refreshing Evasion and a high chance of a weapon skill. The weapons have a terrible perk pool so they aren’t worth crafting unless you want keen speed/keen jagged and a trash perk/skill perk if you force crit.
Remove certain pools and perks from the weapons on specific dungeon replicas.
Dryad Weapons could be high chances of Angry Earth Bane and Dmg con perks (Enchanted, vicious, vorpal) with a small chance of other perks to keep the RNG gamble aspect. Remove certain pools from the weapons.
Lazarus Weapons could be high chances of Ancients bane and Keenly xxxxxx with a small chance of other perks.
50/50 chance between bane and other perk on first roll.
Tempest Weapons could be high chances of Corrupted Bane and Plagued/Shirking.
Dryad Armor could be almost gauranteed to be Refreshing Evasion
Guardian armor could be high chance of Freedom/Vigor/Resilient perks.
Tempest armor could be what they are.
Control RNG by narrowing Perk pools of each Replica set. All sets should have 50/50 of rolling a skill perk to not gaurantee BiS.
They need to revamp all of crafting to make it more controllable, not just replica armor. Crafting in this game is terrible and gets worse every patch as they add more and more perks to RNG pool.
100% agreed. There’s just ever-present fear of flooding markets with BiS downgrading the value of crafting to the point where everyone has BiS due to ease. I think BoP could be the easiest way to not effect the game widespread and retain the rarity while rewarding crafters themselves.
I mean… things sell for gold cap because it costs probably 5 gold caps to get that piece. I don’t see the problem with downgrading the value of it because it would also downgrade the cost of it. People don’t need to get some mirical piece and get gold cap off one item. Thats already stupid. I wouldn’t care if it was BoP though because I don’t craft for money. I craft for myself.
I spent like 200+k worth of stuff trying to roll some light dex armor and got all pieces with str perks or int perks. Thats absolutely something that should never happen. Literally nothing in those 20 pieces was usable by anyone. Its disgusting and I will never do it again until things change.
Crafted gear should have containers for all stats with RNG and luck applied to total stat capacity and number of perk slots. Critical hit factor and intensity also a stat like slots. Change gems to incremental items for all gear slots with RNG and luck applied to max values. Overcap gems would be BiS items that drop only in high level instances. Gems that over cap all gear values or one stat for example. In this manner crafted gear has more utility but still creates purpose for content in servicing and improving it further.
