ABSOLUTELY NO P2W CASH SHOP ITEMS
if you need to add convenience you figure out how to add it into the game. No player should be able to buy their way through the game that we all grinded.
You wanna sell catch up items? Dont! Add catch-up mechanics into the game, especially watermark
You wanna sell xp pots? Dont! Increase the amount of xp you get from quests.
You wanna sell trade skill xp pots? Dont! Just dont. Its bad enough we can all be a master of all trades decreasing the value of things.
You want to sell azoth? Dont! Give arcana recipe to craft azoth bottles.
You want to sell increased azoth cap? Dont! Find a way to tie it into an achievement
You want to add mounts? Dont! Atleast not yet. Add auto paths to settlements atleast.
You want to sell increased storage? Dont! Give an option to increase storage more often through territory standing.
You want to sell gold? Dont! Give us vendors we can sell items to that wont sell on TP.
Keep the list going everyone!
Please like and comment they need to see what we dont want added to the cash shop. Should only be cosmetic!
How? its convenience added for everyone, not locked behind paying real money. I dont see what advantages someone that no lifes the game would get from it ?
I donât like pay to win.
But if they had a sub, at the level of ESO sub last time I looked at it, I would be fine with it.
I think Fallout 76 had a reasonable sub also.
If they want to have some incentive for people that support the game, it isnât unreasonable.
If they make some absurd difference for getting top tier stuffâŚ
I agree. P2W leads to some shady purchases and quick 0-60 designs are just a sign you are a terrible game designer. They donât create memorable experiences for the players that do buy them, make those that did the grind from 0-60 feel like it was a waste (not to mention its already faster to get to 60 than in wow classic) and after a few months those players leave anyway because they mainly play pve but had the fun sucked out of their progression.
Retail wow is a perfect example of how to not have a healthy game for long term play that has a sub+box fee+cash shop+pay to 60 boosts. Game plays like a casino instead of a vibrant world.
Instead add 40 new weapon skins per weapon and youâll make so much money. Add a sub that increases your bag storage is good too. Maybe that sub gives you a few keys per month too.
The items you listed are p for convenience items, not p2 win.
Not that I am saying they are fine, but it was entirely intentional that the grind involved in this game is excessive and mostly skilless/challengless. Since all you need to do is commit time, not effort, everyone can do it, therefore selling stuff to speed it up is all âconvenientâ
Though you also forgot to include Tuning Orbs in that list. Another mechanic with a weighty grind that is âperfectâ for selling.
Catch up mechanics are pointless in this game as both casual and hardcore players will use it and there will be no âcatch-upâ it will just lead to faster gear score increase.
Agreed, I hope I am right in saying that they want people to experience their game and not just rush people through it. So I hope boosts donât come into play.
Same as above
Azoth is a difficult one. It is literally there for them to monetize it otherwise it would have been free fast travel and I think they have said this could be part of the P4 convenience so this is already highly likely. Iâm not really for or against it tbh.
I think a cap increase would have to be something in game or just given to everyone.
Mounts⌠I really donât see a problem with. let everyone to a quest to get a basic one put some cool ones in for achievements or drops from elites or expeditions and then have cosmetics in the shop. Also they could just make it so if you are flagged pvp you canât use a mount and if you are in pve you can.
Storage is a difficult one again. I agree it shouldnât be bought but seems like systems might already be in place.
Gold buying I canât see happening. We just saw what happens to the trade post when they introduce a lot of it on EU. This is also why we donât have vendors because the market would just crash and burn.
ADDIOTION: However with Azoth due to it being used in crafting the have to be especially careful that making it available through real currency doesnât indirectly crash the market by allowing crafters to start putting the best items up and there be an abundance of them.
No they havent. The absolute only thing they have ever eluded to selling was possibly XP boost to catch up players to high level players and that would not be coming till later in 2022. Maybe you should stop getting your info from 15 year old youtubers.
Oh you mean from this interview with New World Creative director David Verfaillie, who as far as Im aware isnt a 15 yr old Youtuber, but who knows
âWhen asked about the kind of QoL items they want to add to the game, Verfaillie said that they want to sell improvements like increased storage space and other items that are specifically meant to help time-starved players catch up to the rest of the communityâŚâ
Show me where they said they will sell this? maybe storage improvements? I can see or buying housing for cash like in ESO but still having to pay weekly taxes but Azoth is part of the game economy and I highly doubt this will every be sold. Just a salty troll with more assumptions.
Im sure your one waiting on Lost Ark. Cant wait till that dose of P2W reality hits everyone waiting on it so bad.
