Simply put there needs to be genuine attention put towards incentivizing open world pvp if this game is going to go anywhere. Currently the only thing worth doing for casual pvpers is to farm OPR for reward caches.
Lets look back to when the PVP track was released and Great Cleave faction missions were the most worthwhile thing to do. We had an unprecedented number of people actively running missions and pvping there in the open world. AGS response to this was to disincentivize it and naturally nobody does it anymore. I think they’re completely missing the point.
The majority of this player base could care less about wars and faction control. The game is most fun when open world pvp is incentivized.
Members of Guilds that own a territory cannot turn pvp flag off.
Hahhahaahahahahah
Solo dungeons may be invaded by corrupted players.
Hihihihihihihihihi

Too radical? This is the Nerf Version Hahahahahh.
Members of Guilds that own 2 territories or more cannot turn pvp flag off.
Solo dungeons may have bonus floors that are invaded by corrupted players

I’m sorry. I read an epic comment that nullify my suggestion 3.
Suggestion: active pvp for collecting resources.
You hope: That zone will be a fun rumble where everyone is flagged and companies compete over spawns.
Reality: That zone gets camped 24/7 by the supercompany on your server, the resources go to their guild bank, and they are the only ones that can craft/wear/sell the gear made with those resources.
I am almost strictly PvE and i loved watching the Great Cleave action. They need to bring that back, heck why not rotate the territories in a way to do that weekly.
You can just camp FL fort with all the other dex players.
GC pvp was horribly laggy and mostly just dex players sitting on rocks or one shot builds. The pvp was only good for people not running missions as the “pvpers” died constantly and never gave exp. There was zero reward for killing pkers as they just came back as soon as they could respawn. It was pretty much harassment, and there were a ton of people getting mass reported as a result of it.
Making something like golden scarabs affected by 10% PvP loot luck would be a good start in order to spark life back into world pvp. This is a nobrainer in my opinion.
Also something like capturing all or x amount of forts gives xxx buff or reward for entire faction. This would engage entire factions to work together if the reward is good enough.
World pvp would be more common if it did not cost so much to do it (ie repairs need a nerf for open world pvp).
Out side of that i don’t agree about putting any form of development resources into open world pvp until someone can present a solid argument about why its superior to instanced/ranked pvp.
Great Cleave was a clown fiesta, even bruisers switched musket to enjoy the game, people wants open world pvp but they dont see what is coming with it.
Big map,10 man musket squad shooting everyone and now game has mortal empower perk. This game is broken for pvp atm.
Those musket players were killing everyone without attunment and mortal empower, what u think gonna happen with those items now? Not to mention with upcoming patch they will have much more damage with runeglass gems.
When people were 14 level or so at pvp track those guys were 50+,they didnt even had to bother doing quests when they were farming players nonstop.
That is such a false statement. It’s the complete opposite. Check the trade discords and tell me how many PvE items are for sale. Nobody cares about PvE gear. PvP oriented players are the ones chasing the best in slot gear. Obviously they farm, craft and flip items as well.
wow, I guess all those people spamming trade chat waiting at forts, opr, or 3v3s dont exist. PVE players don’t need to craft because they run dungeons and get loads of gear. You don’t even need bis for dungeons.
