for all we know he could of duped 100 times, realized he was gonna get caught and came here to try and do damage control…

i’m not sure, I never said I was sure… but just because they came to the forum with it doesn’t mean they are innocent.
it’s also possible he just caught up in the ban sweep. Honestly we will never know most likely

Here’s how I see it, as I’ve said in another topic, I can understand the inconsistency of not knowing when your ban is lifted, that should be fixed. In regards to the bans themselves for Duping, they should be Perma Banned. To the players knowingly duping items whether to sell or use, are doing it gain gain an advantage to legitimate players, they should receive a Perma ban and get to restart on a new character, Now to the ones that duped a single item without knowing they did it, should get a light ban.
But come on, they knowingly duped high valued items, they should be perma banned.

I just wish they’d talk about the constant issue CS has been though. Like sure bad actors are everywhere begging for unbans, but that’s also separate from the constantly bad communication surrounding this whole gig and the especially noteworthy lack of investment of the CS team toward players. The constant miscommunication and blowoffs, the lack of accountability… why an outsource? Was it impossible to find people who’d qualify to troubleshoot the game?
It’s just wild that it’s kind of the game’s oldest post-launch problem and unless I totally missed it, there’s never really been an address for the level of sheer nonchalance with which CS handles the status of player accounts. Both regarding faulty bans and bans not handed out.
Is it a multi player game? If its single player your only cheating yourself do what you want.
When you cheat in a multi player game your cheating other players.

AGS is actively trying to kill their game, people who accidentally bought or made duped items are left out of the game.

In normal circumstances I’d support permabans for dupers but in this case where servers that had 1k queue 10 days ago are left with 900 people in peak I just can’t.
They legit banned half of their active playerbase (that’s not even huge to begin with) because they can’t code their game properly. Let’s be honest, it wasn’t some hard to execute dupe that required third party assistance.
Don’t see this game lasting past summer, it’s just no way anyone will come back for halfassed content and biggest mess of an engine that ever existed.

Common, nobody got banned for accidently duped 2 health potions.
Most of the “accidents” happend on expensive bunny meat or turkey meat mhhh thats surprising, isn’t it?
People tryed to push there luck, since many people just said “it’s undetectable”
But I guess duper 0 AGS 1 that’s it!
You don’t get banned for mistakes you get banned for abusing there is a huge difference and I for one don’t think the bans are long enough.

no permas until AGS is actually capable of tracking down cheating.
many of my friends got some 1-2 day bans in last few months and are not given any reason, if you guys remember AGS themselves dont save the reason ppl got banned.
some of them even got perma bans for no reason and most of their appeal got approved luckily enough. dont forget ppl used to get mass report and banned too.

I mean you sound like you fell out the stupid tree and hit every branch on the way down. They do not share that information with us but you have to be pretty brain-dead to think they don’t have that information at all.

Psychologically, if you give people the chance of an advantage, most will take it, regardless of the punishment.
Banning Players for the AGS’s Cosmic Incompetence is just ditching responsibility onto customers and an enormous Neglection of Player’s time. My time is far more valuable than any Ban or your opinion, so I consider it an unfair action by orders of magnitude and has nothing to do with you.
Thankfully I’m not playing much. The bugs in this game are so numerous and easy to replicate that you need to know what’s a bug to avoid. Last time, I was using Firestaff for a MONTH before realizing I was using a bug on it. If I get banned for that dumb mistake…I would want revenge.

I mean if you look up a dupe and complete said dupe should you not be punished cause the population of the game? Really we’re that desperate to have 10k pop. Lol. Come on man.
So, you can assume anyone that dupes or exploits will always look it up and replicate it and therefore should be permanently banned? 
All while ignoring that temporal bans exist (penalties), removal of said items exist and almost every game does it. And ignore that the company keeps creating the dupes and exploits. And ignores they are causing the decline population.
