If they increase the server size to say 2500, the server will quickly fill up and there will once again be another queue of people waiting to get in. Those people you know may still have to sit in a queue. The game will then be unplayable for everyone on the server since the servers themselves can barely handle the current cap of 2000.
They actually need to do the opposite of what you propose and reduce server capacity to about 1800 to give the 2000 cap some buffer then make 2 to 3 more servers to accommodate the extra players. There aren’t even enough resources or territories for 1000 people to fight over let alone 2000+
Dry Tree had hovered around the cap for months and there wasn’t any noticeable lag. As soon as the cap was hit and there were queues (after the update), we had random server crashes + desyncs/lags.
Another thing to understand is that (this is just what I’ve observed) some servers seem to be able to handle an increased cap and some cannot even handle 1800. Increasing the cap without addressing this would just make things worse.
So You think it will be ever possible to make New World have mega servers like ESO? I am counting for this since the beta! In my hopes I can see New World with big mape like ESO, big global servers and players every where
If they set personal timers on resources, sure. I don’t think they want to rework the entire map to accommodate a megaserver’s pop, and things are packed now in specific areas, while Ebonscale and Edengrove have vast empty zones.

I hope Brimstone will spread the current players around the map. Last time i visited Skysong-Crypt, any Boss was actually camped by 6-10 players. So i’d say currently resources notes are over-farmed and Elite Areas are overcrowded. Brimstone should relax this situation.
This tells me you have no experience in Trifecta - Vet HM - No Death - Speed run content in ESO. Because far as challenge goes. ESO content blows New World’s out of the water metaphorically speaking of course. While M-10s in New World is nothing more than a gear score check. Sunspire’s Godslayer take incredible amounts of skill, coordination, and team work to get. ESO is more of a skill based MMO, while New World is more of a gear/stat centric MMO. That’ll hold true even after the patch in ESO.
Please increase server capacity (even +250 like in Nysa server) or create new server and give free transfer choice to gamers playing on overcrowded servers. Don’t expect from us to always have to pay and transfer to new servers once our current server gets popular. You do not respect current players but also the newcomers, not allowing them to enjoy the game.
