Influence gain under invasion

Multiple Marauder companies are abusing a bug to gain influence in zones that are under invasion, and have used bugs to dodge wars using invasions.

  • Describe the issue you are experiencing: Multiple Marauder companies continuously exploiting a bug in game code to allow for influence gain when a zone is under invasion
  • Is this a bug or an exploit: An exploit of a bug
  • (if a bug) How did the issue effect your gameplay: Causing huge gameplay value issues for two of the three factions on our server
  • (if a bug) Were you able to recover from the issue: No
  • (if a bug) Please include a screenshot or video of the issue that you have experienced: Unable to provide, zone is already declared.
  • What are the steps to reproduce the issue as you experienced: Wait for invasion, spam PvP missions, declare war as soon as the invasion window allows.

Marauders control the same amount of territory as Syndicate, where is the huge value issue?

To debunk whatever it is you’re trying to state, I’ll link to the dev post here:

As for influence gains during an upcoming invasion. There is no such system that prevents influence from increasing just because there’s an upcoming invasion. You cannot declare war till after the invasion is complete, hence why the Marauder’s HAVE to wait for it to end.

A group of 12 marauders running back to back PvP quests in Brightwood (assuming this is the territory considering it’s the one in conflict right now) that ran uncontested while holding the fort to get the 20% buff.

Now if you consider the dev post, Diamonde’ Dogs holds 0 land, and is a small company, meaning they would absolutely be eligable for that underdog system to trigger. Wrathful is a larger company, and holds land. So by the way the above dev laid out how the system works, I ask where is the exploit?

You have no proof anything happened for anyone to be able to begin to solve the issue if something is broken. It boils down to “it happened cause we’re now at war”. yet again, as the dev posted, they want wars, as much as possible, they want land contested and fought over.

Seems the system is working as intended.

Where in this is the trigger for the exploit? This is all “basically play the game”. Again the invasion has no bearing on influence gains, “spamming pvp missions” is literally how you gain influence, and you HAVE to wait for invasion to end to trigger war, there’s no choice in that matter.

The faction quest board EXPLICITELY states that influence cannot be changed during an invasion. Either the UI is wrong, or this is bugged. Pick your poison, but in any case this is a massive issue.

We are running into this exact same problem. We take a territory, 3 hours later green puts 4% on it, an invasion is declared. We come back tomorrow, and they have continued pushing it with a pending invasion up to 19%.
