Horizontal line shows minimum time duration when pressing/releasing Aim. Since Aim cannot toggle, all inputs are locked except Shoot. Once you reach vertical line midpoint (Full ADS), the DRAW ANIMATION completes, unlocking inputs. This state will remain constant until an input is pressed. RETRACT ANIMATION triggers if you release Aim instead of another input.
There is even a smaller window of maybe 1/10 of a second where you are able to dodge out before an accidental hipfire shot as long as it’s done before the arrow is released. Caveat is you’re still penalized with a ~0.5 second slow after dodge. Dodge animation duration (~1 second) is shorter than hipfire (~1.5 second) and it will only overwrite up until completion. That said, you can avoid the self-cc only if you have enough stamina to dodge twice in succession. This only applies after being fully ADS. Non-ADS accidental hipfire can’t be canceled and you’re self cc’ed for the full duration of the hipfire animation.
Bumping for visibility. After extensively testing todays patch, I can confirm that nothing has changed other than slightly reducing the self-slow if you dodge out of an accidental hipfire shot. All of the other bug fixes pertaining to bow in todays patch notes did not fix anything at all
