Hey guys,
Just wanted to share a small highlight video portraying the potential of the SNS & Spear build or what I like to call it, the “Spartan Hunter” build.
The video quality isn’t the best and it is something I plan on fixing for the next video!

Is there some trick to aiming javelin? The way it zooms in when you activate it always throws me off. Maybe I just need to practice more, but I didn’t care for it. I like sweep/vault kick/perforate for my gaxe/spear arena brawler.
Cool build, btw. Might give it a try. SS has been my main since launch but I dropped it after the nerfs.
Hatchet spear is better IMO, it is harder to play against.
I have found that in PvP sns only seems to be viable in 1v1 encounters at least against good players. From my own experience and seems to be one of the weaker weapons in the game in PvP.
In group combat you can easily ignore the sns user and target them last.
This is coming from someone who plays sns, hatchet btw.
Other weapons have a lot more utility for mdps.
It is good to see you using javelin though. I struggle against good players who use this.
Javelin, perforate and skewer is the combo I struggle with the most. The weaken and rend this combo provides is amazing.
Haha not that I know of, I just played a fair lot to get used to it, spear just has too many great abilities! Hope you enjoy the build.
I’ve streamed my war perspectives against the best EU companies in the game (Parabellum & Bonzai), and in terms of group play SNS & Spear adds a lot more to the table in a hunter group than a SNS & Hatchet, although hatchet has more survivability and the capaabilities to stay up and personal more consistently, spear provides rends which will amplify your group’s overall burst damage (we pair it up with bows), the spear has better tracking to keep enemy healers or hunters in place and the surprise element (javelin throw) that if paired with your group properly is an instant one shot.
Obviously, both weapons have their pros and cons, but so far I’ve had more success with SNS Spear in a war scenario than I have with other melee assassin builds such as Spear & Rapier, Spear & Hatchet, or SNS & Hatchet.
I do rate SNS & Hatchet highly in the hunter department though!
