Instanced Nodes/More Nodes

Agreed; would actually start playing this game again if they fixed this.

Amen to that. When I was on a dead server I did that whole area on my own each day.

Now on my solidly populated server I go down into there just for faction challenges because 20 losers camp there all day long for ori.

The game is designed to be a PvE as well as a PvP platform. PvP players are the ones who are constantly having a hisssy fit because they have to PvE to get their gear of choice. I’m completely in favor of allowing PvP players some form of reward system where they could earn and buy/create custom gear as well as raising GS.

As a PvE player player though i’m tired of all of the attention being paid towards the latest PvP snivels while leashing my PvE experience to an “auto flag” design that would only mean the griefers would run in packs killing those of us who enjoy farming in peace.

As a rule in any MMO, the Player kill faction will always have the advantage in forums because by their nature they are aggressive while the more peaceful crafting/harvesting players are less likely to engage in a debate because they tend to be more passive. We’re all the same community though and dependent on each other for a complete game.

Instanced/personal nodes or private worlds, both would help in their respective ways.

It’s already been proven in Swords of Legends Online that this will not work. They do attack bots but were still too many bots.

PvP is never the answer to anything useful. It is in fact the root cause of problems.
If there were no PvP, there would be no PvPers buying RMT to buy bot goods and gear the trading post.

So the best solution is in fact to delete PvP and thereby remove the market for RMT and bots. No buyers = no point botting or selling RMT = bots leave.
Or make all materials bind on pickup and all crafted items bind on pickup. Not able to trade = no bots and no RMT. And no pay-to-win from buying gear that crafters have to grind skills just to make. Go do Expeditions and get RNG drops instead.

I agree. The node counts and respawn timers would be fine if the nodes were instanced/personal. As it is now just too many players after too few nodes on med-high pop servers, with bots and campers further exacerbating the issue.

Low pop servers fare better, but then you have issues with town upgrades. This game is currently designed for med-high pop servers to keep the towns upgraded, but in turn is causing resource farming to be problematic. Instanced/personal nodes would fix this, regardless of server pop.

If nodes were instanced they’d need to increase node respawn timer. Only reason they’re so low now is because of bots.

You could farm for an entire day and get all your mats for the week once a week. I would enjoy this. More money to the player, less money to the bots.

This discussion is moot now. sl3nder mmo just released a video. TONES MORE NODES HAVE BEEN ADDED TO THE PTR!!!

nodes should be instanced and cool down timers / limits on crafting mats removed completely. Make end game more affordable & accessible to the average player and not just those who hoard all the gold from territory ownership.
