Insufficient privileges

I’m having an issue launching the game. Right away I get an insufficient privileges message. i use steam and all my other games works. I was even playing New World earlier today but after today’s update is when I started haveing this issue. I have all ready redownloaded it to. please help!

Why do you respond to every other people but my bug reports etc.?? i have ben making so many posts, asked so many questions etc. but NEVER got an answer on anything…

There is a team in charge of the bug report section, I can see you posted there, the team will check your reports there!

some of the reports is more than 3 months old and they are indeed gamebreakers, yet No answer. Imagine playing a pvp game and your character is not able to recieve healing or move until you log out for 3 minutes and log back in??

Also theese bugs happens to me and roughly 120 players i speak with about 10-20times every day. :open_mouth:

I can see you made your post 30 mins ago, please allow the team in charge of bug reports to review it! You can also report bugs in-game:

  1. Log into the game and load in.
  2. Press “Esc,” click “Game Menu,” and then click “Submit Feedback.”
  3. Provide a description of the bug or feedback, rate your experience, and then click “Submit.”

i have restarted my pc a few times, uninstalled, and reinstalled the game. the error happens right away that say insufficient privilages. The only thing i can find online is talking about an invalid gift key. i have 560 hours on this game tho. i was an alpha key tester too. not sure if they got mixed up on steam. repairing game follder on steam didnt work aswell. feel free to check my game play if you think its an accout ban. im pretty poor with my one litte house.

Let’s try some troubleshooting steps.

1- Press Win key + R
2- Type %appdata%
3- Go to AppData > Roaming > AGS > New World
4- Delete the Savedata folder and the user_preload_settings.cfg file.
5- Reboot the PC and you’ll see that the files deleted would be recreated.
Try to launch the game one more time.

Also, there is a workaround that I found on another post in case that these steps are not working.

  1. Close game and steam completely
  2. Go to New World installation directory
  3. Right click and run as Administrator “NewWorldLauncher.exe”
  4. While game opening it’ll say you should open your steam
  5. Click OK and close game
  6. Open steam and start your game as normally

This should fix the issue. However if the problem persists don’t hesitate to contact back to find a fix for your particular issue and please let me know what other steps you have tried.

This error pops up after the easy anti cheat loads, can you please look into this further on the account side and review my gameplay if this is the cause. Thank you
