Insufficient uses for faction tokens

Infused potions and maybe other consumables like buff food?

  1. yee
  2. ok
  3. sounds very interesting and cool

Faction skins would be pretty cool.

  1. Emotes - sure, but they are one time purchases, after few days every other player has them all if they wish. Not really a long term content if not updated on regular bases.
  2. Faction based cosmetics - same as emotes, sure.
  3. Desirable perk items - This can backfire and devalue crafting mods. Not every mod should cost 0.01 coins at market. Mods already are over dropped at loot tables.
  4. Loot boxes - ??? like no… no no. What stuff are you talking about? random items? more junk? rare crafting resources? Again as perk items this can devalue the market easily when resources are pumped into the economy.
  5. Consumables - No, already most consumables are over produced and dropped from chest runs. No need to devalue crafting skills even more.
  6. Unrepairable, limited duration 600 GS gear - bad idea, unrepairable itself is a bad concept and hated at every game that has it. Better add 580 GS faction equipment that is not affected by expertise as steping stone for new and returning players below 590 GS.

Few neutral suggestions that would not have negative effect on economy would be:

  • Faction buffs consumables:
    • Potion/food if consumed will buff your pvp exp for 2 hours/1 per day
    • Potion/food if consumed will buff all party members damage 5-10% for 1 hour/1 per day (can be limited to PvE or only open world so it would not affect arenas and OPR)
    • Potion/food if consumed will increase gold drop from mobs for 2 hours/2 per day.

I make quite a bit of profit from factions tokens. Insufficient is not the word I would choose. More useful options would be preferred. Just do not clone what others have done.

I’d like every faction vendor to sell different random gear that rotates out daily and weekly. Since the gear is random, it can be trash, but also has a chance at being BiS. Everfall vendor would sell different stuff than mourning dale, and so on. It would incentivize PvP and allow pure PvP players to progress from pvping.

Have you looked at the faction shop on PTR? You should. Pretty much the only sellable thing that costs significant tokens are runes of holding. Everyone will dump their faction tokens on those and the market will crash. That’s why we need more options before the patch goes live if possible.

Unrepairable might be the wrong option. I was trying to come up with a catch up mechanic for gear that returning players could use but make it a temporary thing so people ultimately want to get permanent gear. I’m brainstorming.

This is something I’d happily spend faction tokens on. Some of the faction armours look good, but being armours not skins and worse than what I’m wearing it’s pointless getting them.
Please, AGS. Consider this idea.

I’d say more than armor skins in the faction shop. Tents styles, weapon skins, tool skins, emotes specific to the faction. Mayne even new guilds emblem bits? Dyes?

So much can be done… Even seasonal skins for each category.

You got more than PvPers who do factions for points. Might as well give them skins. Variety does encourage more interests.

Such a simple, cool thing that could’ve already been added.

really

Lol yes. Give each faction unique emotes. More taunting style than anything. Maybe unique cheers too.

Implement a sets of faction armour and weapons that are 600 and legendary they can cost 75k tokens each, it doesn’t really matter it would be something to work towards.

100 faction tokens for 1 rotten tomato to throw at another player. Causes struck player to emit green stink/flys buzzing effect for 5 minutes ( or until submerged in water )

I would buy them all day everyday.

I’d pay real money for this shit. It’s my favorite set and they made it unwearable.

And then they try to sell us  suits in the shop.

PLEASE.

Same! I like the faction skins. Wait. Don’t give 'em ideas. I would never pay for a faction skin.

Oh. Yeah. Me neither…

Good one!
