The ingame map in my opinion is woefully inadequate - i want to create my own notes/pins on the ingame map, i also want an official ingame mini-map, the existing compass gets a 1/10 from me and thats been generous. Thats why external sites have created their own world maps and addons like Aternum Map are so popular, all you are doing is going to force me to buy a 2nd monitor. Talk about game immersion, i can create magical potions, create weapons/armour but i cant scribe a note on a bit of paper…

I’ve stuck out through a lot in this game, and I honestly love it. I understand the idea of immersion, and how modifying the map can break it, but at the same time, at level 60, I really just want to be able to farm without having to memorize the whole map, my memory is garbage to begin with, and with other people being able to retain more information, it begins to put me at a disadvantage. When the overwolf map worked properly, was the most fun I have ever had in this game, I actually felt like I was able to catch up with my company who has surpassed me in almost every way due to my work schedule.
Don’t get me wrong I’m not trying to s**t on AGS by any means, but I feel woefully under-equipped and now that the map is back to nothing, and we cant even add custom notes to our in-game map, I feel like I won’t be able to catch up any time soon, which in turn makes me think “why keep playing?” It’s depressing because I really REALLY enjoy the game. It’s the first MMO since WoW to captivate me so much, but now… it just feels pointless.
