Sometimes when interacting with an item and getting interrupted puts your character into a status where the left mouse click button no longer allows auto attacking.
This can occur when
- taking damage when opening a chest.
- interacting with resource nodes when a corrupted portal is appearing
- interacting with bugged resource nodes that are visible, can interact with but are already used
The strangest part about this bug however, is if you use a weapon ability you can then use your left mouse button to continue to attack but if you stop attacking, then you’re bugged out again and can no longer use left mouse click to attack.
I believe this is due to some faulty target interaction where your character is still interacting with the item (even if the item no longer exists). This puts your character into a state where they can’t auto attack. Using a weapon ability allows this temporarily but then your character will then revert back into item interaction state where you can no longer attack.
