Hello,
Perhaps this idea has already been proposed and yes, it would include a lot of development.
Wars are one of the main pvp activity if not the only one that keep big pvp companies active in the game so far. Getting a 50 players roster and establishing a strategy, either it results in a win or a lose, has something very challenging.
However it feels like there isn’t enough wars. With the actual reputation farming system to be able to declare a war and your incoming update about proxy companies, it’s more likely that there will be less wars. More than that, smaller companies that are willing to access this content either are missing players, or will get into a war to be stomped after farming reputation for hours, which can be very frustrating and eventually lead to more players leaving.
THE IDEA?
As simple as it sounds, INTERSERVERS WARS WITH A LEADERBOARD. It wouldn’t require any reputation farming, just a simple way for everyone to access to the war content, train it so they can challenge better companies on their own server.
Leaderboard would be here just as a fame hall and a way for companies to evaluate their level.
Is there a risk that companies stop declaring wars on their own server? Well as long as you don’t give any rewards other than cosmetics, I don’t think so. You want to use this game mode so you can be more competitive on your own server and capitalise on it by owning territories.
HOW TO MAKE IT?
For now my thoughts would be a war on a territory already determined by both companies prior to the war, played in a bo3:
- round 1: one company is attacking, the other one defending
- round 2: companies swap roles
- round 3: in case of a tie, who’s is attacking or defending would be determined by a dice roll
This way, you get a fair environment as for a competitive game mode, a fair training for both companies and a maximum of 1 hour 30 minutes of war content only.
There is probably more to be design, but for now just let me know what you guys think and any ideas about it is more than welcomed.
Cheers,
Y
