I know I’m in a rather special position and not a lot of people are going to be able to understand how I am feeling, but hear me out.
“Skills Grandmaster” is a title that is rewarded to everybody that hits 200 on every Tradeskill. Before the introduction of Music, I had everything on 200+ except Weaponsmithing, which is 166. Finishing Weaponsmithing would have finally rewarded me the title after countless hours of grinding every profession out. With the introduction of music, they literally just added it to the achievement and now after finishing weaponsmithing I have to go through another profession that is also ridiculously grindy (roughly 7k songs to get from 1-200 is nuts), while everybody that got it before the introduction of music can just keep the title.
I think since music is labeled as a casual profession that has no connection to the crafting ecosystem, it also shouldn’t be a part of the “Skills Grandmaster” achievement. This is a huge slap in the face for players like me that put an insane amount of hours into the game only to be served another huge grind that we have to go through right before seeing the finish line. I really hope this can be looked at @Luxendra
I don’t have a problem with music counting, BUT music needs to be faster to level. I’ve played it pretty heavily this weekend and got to level 34 or something like that, and that’s with double XP.
They just need to lower the grind to something reasonable and it would be much less obnoxious to have it in that achievement pool.
Same here. I had all skills 200 except weaponsmithing, which I decided to finish today. I got the achievement for that specific skill, but not grandmaster (I guess because I haven’t leveled up my music skill)…
If it’s a thing, then music grind should be way lower, because, even though it’s been funny at first, and the territory standing bonus is great, I’m not going to spend every weekend of the summer event exclusively playing music. When this was added I thought it was unnecessary while there are many other issues to be fixed, but, well, please nerf the music level up grind, or exclude it from “skills grandmaster” title. Thank you very much.
I agree. I’m in the exact same boat, finally got my weaponsmithing up to 200 and still didn’t get the grandmaster title because my music is only at 40 or so. If you HAVE to have the skill up, people who already unlocked the title should lose it until music is leveled as well, (which I think is silly as well but just for argument’s sake) and any new classes or skills they launch should be the same.
I think it shouldn’t count because there is no advantage to music to the game’s ecosystem, as you said.
achievements have been broken for quiet some time. 200 in everything long before music was introduced, and can not get the title. Read the forums…there have been a lot of complaints about it.
Thank goodness I didn’t listen to everyone telling me it was pointless to level up my professions before the update when they were nerfing the xp requirements for weaponsmithing and things like that lmao.
That was fixed a while ago. I remember reading about it in some patch notes. I also know because I’ve grinded music to 200 today and finally got the title “skills grandmaster”. So, yes, music does indeed count towards it now.
Same thing here. Finally finished weaponsmithing and now see I must grind out music. This is not nice at all. I was hoping this would not be the case when Music was added to its own “casual” category. Come on Amazon, you can do better than this. Fix it so music is not required.
