It would be nice to place things in a certain order in my inventory and have them stay that way, its actually really weird its not programed to behave that way to begin with.
Im guessing the inventory behaves more like a spreadsheet document inventory system and because we can not cut/copy/paste in-game, then we cant have that type of inventory management… It really should be implemented though.
I know theres gotta be an easy way to make it work better, some people mentioned the use of tags which i see as a slightly better method to increase the functionality of inventory management, someone else mentioned sorting by perks which would be a nice feature for sorting inventory but not the best way to make it more intuitive for humans to grab what they need the fastest way and go.
