Firstly i want to begin off by saying i have played 800hrs. I do absolutely love this game. PVE and PVP.
I think while this game is having a bad time right now. I am optimistic that new content will return players. But this comes with an issue i seen mentioned earlier. If we begin merging all servers together and create more content, the que’s will be massive. While this may have an impact on player experience, This only makes them look good because they can say they have full servers.
I think right now the latest bug fixes should not have been immediate. I took a look at the list and have not seen anyone complain about these problems in the forums. This is literally addressing issues no one currently cares about. People would like to see obvious fixes like missions, and things that generally stop your progressing in the game. While many people will say “what about pvp” well its pretty clear that the majority of players left are pve players as it’s a struggle to get wars/invasions/opr going. The players that are left are not engaging in pvp and i guess are enjoying the character progression. Content needs to be made for them to sustain those players because pvp players will come and go with updates. PVE players however will spend day and night grinding and will invest more in the game.
When it comes down to these type of MMO’s what people want is to see that their time is being invested wisely. And the problem with the current state of the game is that MMO players want a game for years and the players are just not seeing that right now with the lack of staff meaning less content and less bug fixes. I understand that hiring more people is more easy said than done. BUT there needs to be more of an investment from the studio. You gotta spend money to make money. And people don’t want to wait so long for new content or new dungeons. Invest in your game and it will pay off greatly! This game has one of the best foundations I have ever seen in a game. And it is being destroyed by staff that clearly have lost the motivation to hire new staff as they can see their game is failing. But the problem with this is if you’re not willing to invest then how can you expect any good return.
You’re selling pitch in the store is rather silly! people do not want to pay these high prices for such items that are useless in game. And if the devs had and common logic then they would know that if they were to bring prices down in skins and store they would make more sells which will return more money to invest back in the games. It’s pretty simple sales if I’m honest. A company as big as yourself should know that by now! If you lower that prices you get more sales which in return will give you guys more money to invest back in to the game.
Right now the big question on everyone’s mind is will they jump ship? The honest truth is here is that amazon games has previously taken down games before that have not been popular. But the devs have two ways to go about this. They can jump ship or they can INVEST more money and watch the population go back up. Again really simple! I heavily suggest investing as it’s win win!
There does need to be more dev videos and answering questions. And not silly questions like in the previous episodes but questions people actually want answered. Like addressing these issues above or the string of questions that don’t get answered on the forum or copying and pasting messages to people on twitter! Answer people without being so robotic!
This game is being destroyed by the dev team right now and unless they change their act they will continue to see declines in server population. We can only hope they either have something up their sleeve, something big and drastic. Like the release of new weapons, dungeons, PVP modes and new areas to explore. If this game had the correct investment it has the potential to be so big! I just hope the dev team understand what kind of gold mine they are sitting on and the games potential…But that can only come with more investments.
Right now i think player population is the biggest problem. To keep the current gamers merges and transfers must come ASAP. And before you reply back I really don’t want to hear about how the housing bug is causing delays on transfers and merges. Get it done or see all this hard work you and the players have invested go down the toilet!
