I know the thread is long, but he stated he never used the bread-buff and also doesnt use gems in his armor. He uses faction armor tho.
I agree, the patch today will bring needed nerfs to Resilient, to the effectiveness of heals (through the insane damage negation) and of course to the broken weapons (hatchet, greataxe, …). Looking forward to it, as a Paladin

He only states hes not running “full onyx” but there are other gems just as similar like malachite and opal that are broke atm
there are settlements buffs that give %of hp increase - prob one of those expired.
Ahh okay, whoopsie. How exactly are the gems broken? Ive heard from some that they are working as intented, others say they are bugged. Idk what to believe anymore in this game
Malachite is said to reduce all incoming damage and Opals are supposed to reduce only elemental but are also reducing most incoming damage elemental or not.
Aight. And is Onyx bugged, too? They give only phys. Resistance, right? Sorry Im at work right now for another half an hour
Onyx is weird sometimes I feel like it works but other times I test it reduces elements as well

Looks like a dude who didn’t do his research, was upset he was losing (I say “was” because he reported in the middle of the fight without even taking in what is happening, just an angry caveman with a report button) and is frustrated with the state of the game.
That in combination makes for bad reports. Poki not only defended himself, but also exposed some of the toxic players in this community. If you haven’t taken any of the psychology behind OP not even responding to Poki in game AT FIRST, and also not in the forums after his rant, you aren’t looking deep enough. On the other hand, Poki has been pleasantly sharing his insight into the situation that HE IS BLAMED FOR.
In this case people, you should hate the game and not the players.

I also have a similar nearly invincible build with a different weapon combo choice and can 1v10 enemy players with battle bread and resilient.
I am glad that resilient is being fixed, it should help some of the problems that invincibility introduces into new world Outpost Rush and Wars, but it doesn’t entirely remove invincibility for certain builds (that I find incredibly boring to play).
I will consider this thread successful if it generates enough interest from players to catch the attention of the developers, such that they can better understand this aspect of their game, so they can make more informed decisions for the future updates they bring to weapons and buffs in New World.
Perhaps this thread has already influenced their fixing of the Resilient perk sooner than later, we may never know for sure.
I’m super confused - so Poki says “even if it wasn’t bugged he would use it” the bug doesn’t reduce just crits, but all damage.
Here are my thoughts and my questions to POKI and whoever else cares to answer… You said that “to my knowledge, I’m not purposely exploiting any known bugs” but later say what I have posted above. So wouldn’t that mean you know about the bug, and are still using it, thus exploiting it on purpose? Just because you would run it anyways even if it wasn’t bugged, doesn’t mean you aren’t still using a bugged setup that you are aware of to gain an advantage in a competitive style game mode? That resistance to all damage as opposed to just crits is a big reason you are able to 1 v 5 plus people.
My favorite statement “just because i am playing better than 5 of you, doesn’t mean I am exploiting”
Seems to me you still are using a bug to gain that advantage, thus exploiting? Am I crazy here or not understanding something?

Then again, you did the research and build to your play style. I’m just confused on the fact that you are still running it with a bug then justifying it by saying even if it wasn’t bugged I would still use it? I am curious to see the difference without the bug.
I think the problem here is less what pokew is doing and more an issue with the fact the game gives so little feedback about what is happening. If he blocks with a shield, maybe something can pop up indicating so, if he is absorbing a huge amount, maybe the damage popup can indicate that absorbtion.
Without that kind of information during fights, it is very easy to assume an exploit is happening, even when it might not be.
I’ve noticed times when I know I hit pokew with perforate, but no debuff popped up. This makes me think if a hit lands, but healing/absorbtion outpaces damage, it might not bother applying the debuff, which seems like a bug to me.
I stand by what I said. Before I knew of resilient perk being bugged, I put on 3 pieces of gear with the perk. When I learned about it reducing all damage, I decided to keep my build as is, instead of just going full resilient. And now, with the most recent patch of fixing resilient, like I said before and you quoted it, I’d still use it if it wasn’t bugged. Guess what! It’s no longer bugged! So it has the exact effect of what I thought it to have when I picked to run 3 of them for my build. Thus helps me prove my point more, that I’m in fact not purposely exploiting any bugs. I will always stand by using resilient even after the fix.

I just ran into two guys using this exploit on my server. It is impossible to kill them and they just 2v20 my whole team. I reported them to their company leader and he won’t do anything. AGS needs to take a look at this ASAP before everyone does it and the game is broken entirely.
You are the reason this game is not fun. You are so full of shit saying your build is legit without even showing us the build. You know certainly that if everyone had this same build the game would be unplayable. Defending yourself is so cringe and pathetic. I hope you get permabanned.
Imagine how it was before the resil und bufffood fix, with ~80% more mitigation. Yeah… not an exploit at all.

haha just like half the clowns in my server that were exploiting the resil bug, hatchet bug, food stack buff bug. Same shit talk in global chat. Then after the most recent patch, I’m putting up 15 kills plus in OR, the same tanking, exploiting losers are now running away from a 1v5 and getting ganked - even with Poki self-proclaimed amazing build.
Poki, did you even graduate high school? Are you reading what you are saying? Just because you would wear it anyway, does not mean you were not using a bug? With resil that isn’t bugged, you still take higher damage. You just don’t take as much crit damage. You can spend all the time you want on your build, and congrats on not googling “the best hatchet build”. You literally are running what half of every server was running because it made you immortal at the time. Not sure what you are bragging about? Anyone could have respec to all heavy armor with resil, sword shield, and the mindless left-click Gaxe and not died. Your build is nothing special bro lol - you didn’t find some groundbreaking build.
