I agree, it’s super hard to tell what’s REALLY going on in this video, because not enough damage is being spent on PokiW.
Hatchet is broken right now, so if he was tanking like 5-8 hatchet users the way he was eating those Great Axe hits, then that would be something to look into.
Another heavy armor healer here. Looks legit to me. I can’t die 1v1, 2v1, even 3v1s are sustainable. I know a couple other healers personally that have the same effect. Healing and Heavy armor are super strong here. It’s not an exploit, it’s just imbalanced. OP should try getting good. You don’t even need a shield either tbh, I use a warhammer for the CC to allow me to heal up. I 5v1 people on Outpost Rush daily
Funny, a build is OP and people get salty, screaming for bans. This, my dear ladys, is something else than running around with 300% stacked hatchet damage never switching weapons.
Its the build. I use it and I got whispered and reported the first day of Outpost Rush. While I know for a fact I dont abuse shit, all I have is Resilient (what for example 80% of one company are wearing in Outpost Rush/wars on my server - “F00KIN EXPLOITERS MAAAN” lul).
I want to add this: Armor in general is fucked and faction gear for example has more dmg negation than 600 GS Voidbent for physical dmg (what most people use). Also what the whole Armor thing means: heal is more than double as effective cause people with heavy and bugged Resilient take so little damage. Thats where the root of the problem lies. Im using Lights embrace instead of Orb btw, which gives me another 25 stamina. I be dodging like a madman standing in Sacred Ground, spamming Lights Embrace with some CDR also blocking in between. And my sword shields are 10 offensive/9 defensive, so not even full tank.
This is just two low dps players hitting on a heavy healer… is this the first time youve run into a heavy healer that plays on fortify buffs? Cause i can tell you ive seen healers tank 5-10 people for a whole minute before doing this. This isnt cheating, this is you wasting time
Man, too many 13 year olds playing this game. Or at leat 13 year old minded people, not sure. If you take the energy and time to go on the forums and post shit… Why dont educate yourself on the mechanics first? I think I hit the nail on the head when I explained Armor/Resilient being fucked making heal more than twice as effective. With all the damage negation a +1000HP heal can result in +2500DMG you need to kill a target easily (I dont have the exact numbers right now but I saw a post and video explaining the issue).
So if you can 1v10 without cheating, there is something fundamentally wrong with the game. What I’m gathering from this is that both heavy armor and the life staff self heals are highly over tuned. What I would like to see is that builds like this are brought down to normal levels so that everyone’s experience is not ruined. Just my 2 cents.
Just want to jump into this thread because our company does alot of testing. Both the Life staff and the Heavy Armor are fine.
The main issues we have discovered that have made this is a problem are :
Resilience is giving a flat damage reduction and stacks.
Onyx gems are giving a flat damage reduction and stacking.
Crafted food stacking for % and HPS
Outpost Rush food damage reduction stacking with the rest. Also you can bring the outpost rush food buffs outside of the game mode.
You combine them with the right perks, heavy armor and a life staff/sword and shield combo and most are unkillable.
Fyi you don’t even need to go for the 3rd and 4th listed as they just tend to be overkill. Some item perks can do insanely well and fort stacking does enough.
You can actually break it even more but some things can remain off the table for now until they fix the above.
That’s exactly what we’re trying to explain. It’s up to AGS to balance the game, not to the players to purposely hinder themselves in a pvp environment because things are not working as intended.
I used the faction armor with resilient before knowing it’s bugged. I still use it and I will still use it when it’s fixed because it’s just the best pvp perk.
I used the battle bread from day one not knowing it’s bugged. I still use it (should I stop when people not knowing about it still use it ?) and I will still use it when it’s fixed because why should I prevent myself from doing more damage as a damage dealer ?
By reading some of the salty ones here we should just straight ban : all voidbent armors, all faction armors, heavy armors, life staff, hatchet, greataxe, hammer, fire staff, ice gauntlet, food buffs and gems. What’s left after that ? You’ll just want to ban the spear because its cc is too strong. We can go on infinitely with this.
Blame the game, blame the balance, blame the meta, not the people playing it.
He literally said he isn’t stacking food buffs and he’s not using onyx. So I don’t think heavy armor and life staff are fine because several of your points are not valid.
Did you take into account what that damage negation means to heals? I mentioned it in my comments. It makes heals more than twice as effective → makes a Paladin much more harder to kill.

Yep, not the life staff though brother, because reducation is so out of control the HPS are always above the damage comming in. That’s a huge problem but once they correct the reduction it will correct the issue you see with life staffs as well.
