I really don’t see how they can keep the game alive.
Hardly any new players will buy the game, the store is mediocre at best. (I browsed it for a long time and wanted to spend something but just couldn’t find anything nice). I didn’t like Fortnite at all but was watching some kids playing it and noticed all the fancy stuff in their shop. They made billions from a free to play game. Yeah you gonna say it was a great game (for kids mostly). But I gotta say they knew what to do with microtransactions.
To be honest we should feel extremely lucky if we ever get another update like Brimstone sands. How are they going to make it? Correct me if i’m wrong
By the way maybe some good sale like 15$ for 1 week would attract more people. I dont know anymore . Peace

Obvious answer is they don’t want to keep the game alive. People have been complaining about cash shop skins for months but they still release the same crap every time. Many cash shop staples aren’t in this game. The things that are there are way overpriced. $3 for single use dyes? Really?

I’m getting tired of cheap people that always complain and demand, yet their support for game its based on ‘buying the game’ and demand, complain, demand, complain.
Those money u paid for being able to play the game not for having slaves giving u patch notes every week as some ‘genius’ said or making shop skins on ur personal likes.
Learn to value other people work, either if u see it good or bad. If its bad for u just dont buy it, but dont be an a$$hole.

Exactly. Also New World its the only MMO with ZERO p2w Cash Shop.
Many times I bought emotes, armor skin and whatever just to support the game, not because I loved the skins so much.
Skins, server transfers and game sales makes them enough revenue trust me 
also the fact that many people (including me) bought prime just for new world. I even got a year sub that i will continue to renew until i somehow get bored of the game
I think they could have charged like $10-$20 for future expansions (a few new zones with a couple of dungeons, a raid, and PvP content).
I’m not sure what their gameplan is, though.
The lack of communication is unusual for a game that plans on being around for a while.
with all the exploits cheats RMT bots duping etc, who needs pay to win provided from the devs. They allow it in the game through RMT Bots, cheats, exploits, and player extortion for weeks and months before anything is done, if anything.

You don’t play many mmos do you? For example, WoW doesn’t have a p2w cash shop. Last I checked, mounts, pets, transmogs don’t give you any advantage. If you try and say the “WoW Token” is p2w then you don’t know what p2w is. ie. Paying someone to run you through something doesn’t make it p2w because people actually still have to play the game first of all. Secondly, there is ZERO guarantee you will even get any items let alone a specific one.
p2w cash shop == Being able to purchase the BiS gear for real money from the store. Or BiS anything or even the best items that give you an advantage you can’t even get playing the game. Most mmos do not have any p2w shops.
Buying in game gold is P2W IMO, or a token for game time that allows you to sell it for gold in game. Inference. Buy token->sell for coin->buy BiS or carries
You could not be any further from the truth. NW is run on RMT…worse than any game I have ever played and that goes back to the original EQ.
RMT is in every MMO. No idea how old are u or how many MMO, not games overall, have u played.
NW is dead. Game over, man. You may as well go play Candy Crush.
They’re def making money, but not that much. They’re missing a lot of things in the cash shop that other MMO’s have, such as name change, inventory expansion, bank storage expansion, mount skins, random roll for luck chests for rare exclusive items, good looking outfit skins people actually will swipe for, dyes that can be used on said good looking outfit skins, pets, boosters, monthly pass for extra rewards, etc etc…
On one hand we have a game that doesn’t gouge you with tons of convenience and cosmetic items, which should be a good thing right? But on the other hand, I think most people would be happier if we have all or most of the above. It’s clear people managing this game have not done market studies of recent successful MMO’s.
Firstly, I’ve purchased skins in every game I play when the effort is put in to make them look nice.
And YES, I am going to complain about them selling SINGLE USE dyes in a game that you can’t dye store skins in and you need so many sets of armor for every activity that it would be absurd to buy them when they are SINGLE USE. Every other game I’ve ever played that sells dye let’s you apply it as many times as you like.
Do not come at me claiming I’m cheap for not willing to participate in a predatory system that only benefits the company and harms the player. They made in game dyes look like washed out trash, then want to sell the good ones in packs of 5 so they can maximize profit to the determent of the player experience
