I mean look at the incredible amount of nerfs ranged weapons have received. Muskets have been nerfed unless you’re at 50M. If you want to snipe tough luck. Unless you can hit 6 shots straight without them potting or finding cover.
Bows hit box has been shrunk- which is fine- but now arrows literally fly through people.
The rapier is good for a fleche (which was also nerfed) and that’s basically it for escape. Riposte is so easy to avoid that it is almost not worth even running.
The bow used to be incredibly quick and mobile. Now you can be run down by GS/hatchet players- hatchet/GA players- GA/GS players. Even with a fleche how are you supposed to escape GA-reap-charge-GW then/and GS Relentless Rush? Hatchet is just incredibly quick now plus death defy.
So bows can be out maneuvered/ run down- muskets need to be much closer to get kills- what’s the point of running dex?
Even with a bow/GS build any other build I mentioned above will still smoke you in CC.
Does the game not want us to kite or even play dex? Because lately it sure feels like dex is borderline useless.
I was getting 40-50 kill games when either powder burn or shooter’s stance disabled. Muskets still hit hard beyond 50m if you split your damage to elemental.
Muskets and bows are fine in OPR. Bow’s hitbox was barely changed.
Bows are good in 3v3s, but muskets kind of struggle. Muskets cannot do much in arenas if they get focused.
Flourish might be better than riposte now. Most bows/muskets use it over riposte. Give it a try.
Bows struggle in pve, largely because of how bosses are designed. DOing the first boss in tempest with bow is a nightmare.
Do you hate the change to sticky grenade like i hate the change to social distance? (They both got the same rework)
I don’t play musket but I imagine it would have helped in the 3v3 to have the stagger still.
Yea, it was a bad change. I don’t even really notice the new movement with sticky bomb.

If there’s some explanation why the best melee can rarely break single digits in comparison, I’d like to hear it.
You can constantly do damage (I do around 1.5 million damage), and you can steal other people’s kills.
I recently started to play melee. I play solo with no heals, and I’ve gotten several 20 kill games and I am objectively bad at melee with bad gear.
I cant constantly do damage, and I cant get anywhere close to you. Ever.
Because there are gangs of you roaming the streets
compare the 20 kill game number to the 50 kill game numbers kipp tell us how the several compares to the hundreds

Its probably just practice/skill/build issues. Kipp is one of the best muskets on my server that I don’t have sus cheating vibes about haha.
Plus like he said you can sit back and just last hit the kills other people put the work in getting low for those ME stacks.
I know kipp im not saying he’s cheating. Im saying ranged is stupid, and by no means dead.
The reason ranged (including mage) can typically pump higher numbers is just the basic ranged advantage. Less time spent avoiding damage trying not to die and more time hitting people with damage.
It doesnt help that most teams are made up of derps that just keep running to mid to try to stat pad and rarely go musket hunting.
5-10 times the kills, lets say easily twice the points than everyone else, pretty much every game. Please don’t whine about musket and bow woes anymore.
