Is it a must have to wear medium as melee DD?

if i got hitted 1 time as dd at laza / garden normal, i lost 3/4 hp or was immediately dead. with 4 medium + 1 heavy head pieces and around 50 Constitution (later 100). now i changed to 5 heavy pieces and 160 Constitution (because someone said i could get up to 200 Constitution with food). but is that right to use as dd “tank” armor? someone told me i should wear medium, but i really died a lot. PS: im new and dont use any buffs

If you die quick in dungeons without mutation is the problem probably your gs. Medium is fine. Wear 1 heavy boots, hands or hat. 1 heavy chest, 1 light pants and 2 medium boots, hands or hat. You should hit 22.9 weight, which is the perfect amount for medium. Also you should play 200 con as melee.

does it matters what armor i use as light, medium or heavy? or do i just need to try to get to 22.9 weight?

At the end it doesn’t, its just important to hit 22.9 weight. You can try it before with cheap armor from tp.

thank you for your help with at least 200 Constitution and the 22,9 weight. i heard people talking about buffs. is that important / a must have at lv 60 normal expeditions? or to use weapons which do more bonus dmg?

What’s, the difference between using full medium and using that combination?

you have a bit more armor i guess and still have the bonus of medium instead heavy armor weight

Yea makes sense… I’ve been playing since launch and yet haven’t think about this lmao. Screw me.

As a melee you should always try to stand behind the mobs, to avoid most of the damage dealt to your tank.

Put onyx into your jewelry and diamonds into your Armor.

Try to get some fortify via weapon skills, this could help also.

Trenchant Recovery combined with a build revolving around heavy attacks would be another Option.

Which buffs do you mean? Food buff? Food buff would be good, but isnt needed for normal dungeons. You could use coatings, would help much. Use T4, its cheaper and good enough.

I do all M10 as light. Corrupted dungeons I do with 50 con because fortifying perforate it’s op as hell. Normal ones you can run even as 5 con but you will need some gear. I guess you are fairly new to the game so ward + weapon perks make a difference + your knowledge about mobs attacks. Hit always from behind when possible and dodge at the right time. Heavy armor defo not needed at all unless you tanking. 200 con as you mentioned is for tanks. Some of them play with more which showcase their lack of experience too

You should follow the earlier advice on medium armor weight and 200 con, and also yes you should use buffs and also ward armor perks. You can find cheap corrupted ward/weapon perk or corrupted ward/refreshing armor on the trade post. Or just use the ward gear the drops in the dungeons.

You can buy cheap attribute food, weapon coatings, honing stones, and ward potions for cheap too as long as its not tier 5. Just buy a bunch of tier 3 or 4 for a few gold each. This will make a bif difference most people apply all these buffs at the start of every expedition.
