They could make it like what wow have, you can level up till like lvl 20, on a different server, and they should put in limits, for the gathering too, like 500ore/ type max or something to prevent people botting then join the game with a millions worth of inventory. And after you bought the game you will get a free transfer to a different server and you can continue from where you stopped.
I think it could work, it surely worked for me on wow, I stopped playing in wotlk, and then later like 10 years later I tried it again in legion and that free levels were enough to got me hooked on again.

AGS would have to learn to be consistent because F2P mmorpg’s especially KRMMORPG’s produce content often. The cash shop would need a serious revamp to what it is now. Overall judging from how small their roadmap was, this game would have no chance in hell of lasting in a F2P model. Especially with how locust crazed part of this community is. Without regular consistent content in the forms of dailies, weeklies, monthlies, weekly events, monthly events it will just be a pointless transition.

its not a question what the funds could do for the company. but Im more suspicious if amazon game studios the publisher is simply bleeding the sub development companies dry. regardless more interest comes more business and more business comes more r&d for future projects in that area usually but ags has an interesting track record for their post sale support in their games. dont forget that ags was the developer behind top gear the racing game. this team though is a bit odd though. seems they have it in them to make games, that much is not being questioned. but they have no real creativity and self expression of their own, like they seem to copy concepts and thats where it all stops.

The studio has 90 developers work on the project while AGS has only 10.
New World is an amazing game for me. I enjoy every minute in this game. I want to be succeed.
But guys lets be honest. A studio with 10 developers on a MMO is a bad thing.
The problem for NW are not the developers neither AGS. The problem is Amazon. AGS is Subsidiary of Amazon and they don’t want to put money in AGS.
AoC will be the best MMO game ever created for me. I know that we don’t have an official release date, but they hard working on this project. Did you see the Dynamic Weather update? Bro this is amazing. And don’t forget that this game is developing on Unreal Engine 5.
Time to play other games. I’ll be looking into AoC and playing ESO while numbers dwindle here and the squabble persists on the forums. 
I do hope NW turns it around though. Just don’t have any faith in it.

Cause like you… I paid for the game. Even if I’m not playing it, I still paid for it. I stopped playing a week ago after giving it a second chance and even still, devs continue to do really dumb shit.

Though I agree with 95% of what you said, I really dont think 5k people can keep this game going.
Think about how many people you need on a server to actively keep Expeditions going. Add all of the other group joins like OPR and WAR and so forth… the only group function that would be doable is the 3v3. Everything else simply wont have enough people to continue.
Think about what a current 16k pop (peak) feels like on any server other than the primary active server in each area. Right now, you can push all servers into 1 in almost all areas aside from the east coast USA. East coast is the only area that seems to hold enough users to keep enough pop to do things and that’s only for the top 2-3 servers in that area.
At this rate, West coast wont have enough people in 2 months to do much. Right now, you can press ALL players in one server and still not hit the cap. The merges aren’t doing anything but moving people around. People are still leaving in droves.
Some of these fanbois can’t see past their noses to know the truth of it.
Nobody can predict the future. I know i cant, but quite a few folks on this forum think they can glance at some graph on the internet and predict the future with absolute certainty.
But we will see.

Folks do play for a very short time after a patch just to confirm their biases and then run to forums and yell “See? Im still right”.

Thanks for the feedback! Confirming that there are no plans currently to go F2P for New World. I saw some folks mention subs in the thread, which we are also not currently planning for. I don’t want to say ‘never’ because I can’t predict the future, but I can confirm that as of right now, we are not considering either of the aforementioned.
I also saw a few mentions of Battle Pass - there is a post from around launch about our position on battle passes, which are also not happening anytime soon as we continue to focus on events, content and features, and to my knowledge that originally stated position has not changed. Now I’ve got to go scrounge up that post…
If any of this changes, we will let everyone know well in advance.

besides the prime skins that almost every game has.
where is the discounted or f2p for prime members type angle.
heck where is the discounted expansions or cash shop coins for prime members.
thats like easy cross promotion to get more people on prime.
