Watched a youtuber claiming that the devs did not put as much work into the Windsward Starting area to the point they suggested walking to Monarch’s Bluff is a much better idea then staying in Windsward.
I’m wondering if anyone else can comment more on this?
I’ve done both several times and content-wise they’re about the same. Monarch’s Bluff LOOKS better because it has been more graphically overhauled and Windsward is pretty well the same as always but the stories, quest XP, and item rewards are comparable.

Monarchs is much better, well done. Windwards update is meh, I would highly suggest going to Monarchs.
Thanks, I guess Windwards did not need as much of an update when compared to Monarchs originally or something or they just never had time?
I think its just a matter of opinion, I played through both as well as Iselin whom commented above and they feel they are the same. I dont want to say too much but I feel like Monarchs has more content and the content for the questline has more ‘wow’ factors when compared to Windswards.
You can always do both which is good.
I’ve only done the revamped quests on my main. So hard to say how all of it played out, not sure how many old quests remained.
Having said that, I preferred the Monarch’s Bluff quest line. All of it is just a matter of personal taste though. Out of the revamped zones, I like the changed Monarch’s Bluff most. The setting of medieval knights, castles, etc. in a western European like environment just feels nice and familiar.
of the two I preferred monarchs. though windsward is prolly better for working your tradeskills at the same time and it felt quicker to complete as the quests were closer together.
MB was just more fun for me.
