Is it worth doing all these town projects?

They all seem like busy work with very little reward to them (eg. kill 3 boar and get 1 gold, or go to this low level place and collect 3 things)
should i not bother with them and just do quests, or is there some benefit to them im unaware of?

You can instead grind Corruption Portals for your settlement influence.
For some crafts (armor and weapons) they are good for helping you improve your skill without using high-tier materials.
And overall, it’s a materials sink for all the stuff you might not use but collected anyway. Such as Woodlouse, for example, or various herbs and food ingredients.

It was a lot more tedious to do before, but now that you can freely move your stuff around the various settlement storage, it’s much easier especially if you are organized about how you hoard.

The level of quest, exp comes from the level of your associated gathering, crafting skills
I’m unsure but I think the hunting skill one may be based off your weapons level.

Anyway if u spend a few hours leveling gathering skills or cooking for example the quest will give much more exp 2-4k.

So leveling up something and you run your main quest until your near azoth cap. Then do a rotation between 4-5 settlements to grab town boards in. If you want to buy a large house as your first to get the discount just do all your crafting in that zone. Make sure to only complete the gathering and crafting missions but you still take the hunting as some of your gathering will run you into the kills anyway or you hold the quest for 20 mins and if you cancel it and a new random quest is generated.
This doesn’t work on the exploration ones so just don’t take them.
I leveled casually in 2 days played doing this method. I leveled cooking and would run gathering ones and take the cooking and easy armor weapon ones until I had 10 or so to craft the I crafted them all and rinse and repeat.
There are some speed runs on YT the took like a day or less look it up.

Last advice is do not run to much of the main quest unless you have to for azoth. Draught of Azouth is cheap on the TP. Save the main quest until 60 because each box gives you diamonds for gympsom crafting.

Is it worth it? no, seriously they suck. I only trigger town boards for adventure, kills, things that level up crafting like weaponsmith/armor orders(for my personal gain), water, bait. Things of no value. Never things that sell for more or take refining components to make. Otherwise you will be fleeced, but all in the good name of paying taxes/dues to your town owner for tuppence.

Still I am around 105 rep in Windsward from doing them. I am still looking for the pot of gold at the end of some high rep climb…

There are a couple of big benefits though… you get a ton of territory reputation which can be used to increase storage or decrease crafting fees and taxes. The second benefit is around XP given for crafting using one use recipes. For instance, go sign up to make Stalwart Iron Armor - you get more Armor XP for that then any other item you can craft for the same amount of mats.

Hello @DeadJericho! As the others have mentioned, TP’s are good for territory reputation and leveling individual skills.

It also helps to level the project for the town you are in. Those T5 stations and town buffs dont build themselves.

That’s new to me! What do you mean by “box”? Quest rewards?

Like the quest reward chests from main quest line.

But that would be only level 60 main story quests, right?

Nope I leveled to 60 in just over 2 days with town boards and I am getting them from each Armor/ Weapon chest I complete on the main quest but only 3 a day so I am just running one main story quest a day.

Main Story is treated as a " Special" Event I guess.

Diamond Gypsum 3 per day: Rewarded from “special event”

Wow, thanks for the info man. I was aware of Reek and SM level 60 quests giving orbs, but getting it from low level main story while you’re 60 is a bit more help in catching up.

When I run the next one tomorrow I’ll take a screenshot for you!
