So if I have a 580GS weapon from a quest, what happens to that item? Up until now, quest items drop did not effect watermarking, will that still be the case?
What about 600GS harvesting gear given out this past week… Does that now mean everyone who got a 600GS version now has a 600 Expertise in all armor slots?
I am frustrated by these changes, not because of these changes in particular but because there was no consideration given into those of us stuck on low population servers unable to do expeditions, opr, chest runs etc… to increase our watermark… so we did other legitimate activities allowed by the game to acquire gear… Gear that will now be downgraded.
My understanding is that the gear itself wont be downgraded, but your ability to use it to its GS potential will be (if your current watermark is lower than item GS).
Yes, it means that crafting and questline items are now not worth bothering with. Just get out there and grind out the watermark. Its how the game was supposed to be played.
I…when did I ask a question up until now? may want to go back and comprehend what was written… i am merely making fun of someone’s ill attempt to gatekeep others enjoyability in the game by playing it the way that they had deemed fun when they purchased it… and as far as the devs expecting people to play it that way well we’ll see
You misunderstand me friend… We got the set because we got a Harvester Gear drop in the game at one point. Some got a 600GS replacement. Does that replacement set now grant a 600GS water mark?
No matter how i look at it, this will feel bad.
It does put incentive on engaging in content tho. But at the same time, when this patch hits… New players will have almost 0 chance against veterans.
Flagging might be suicide for them even at 60.
Except … they didn’t intend for the playerbase to figure out how to bug out all the elite bosses and loot their chests. They probably didn’t anticipate the massive elite chest player trains either (although the probably should have). This type of stuff is not progression, it’s just stupid.
What’s becoming clear to me is that they didn’t really think this through very well. All of this stuff should have been carefully planned, and tested in BETA before the release of the game. To be reacting now to such massive problems is a complete failure really. What a catastrophic launch.
Yep they just made their own quests completely pointless. Who cares if NWM is reset or not, these changes are bad enough tol kill the game for me anyway.
