If you are not RMTing the gold then there is no problem with this and is a nice way to farm gold cap with all your friends in a week.
they were not personal definitions, rather concerns and how it doesnt feel fair and such. take it as you will.
It’s not a form of cheating though. People still have to do the m10 and put in the time to get to the last boss and get that boss down or to like 5% etc.
This is NOT new to any mmo. Not sure if you ever played any other mmo but ALL of the mmos have people offering types of service like this for in-game currency. ie. WoW. People will pay to tag along on a mythic raid to get the title, mount, items while they don’t have to do anything while the group does all the work. Or they pay gold to people to get mythic+ 15 keys done for titles, mounts and the gear. FFXIV, ESO, Rift, SWTOR, etc. all do similar things.
Just because someone doesn’t want to put in the work or not able to yet because they are trying to get the 625 gs so they can join in m10s doesn’t make it cheating.
its a very unfair shortcut to the endgame. why did we get expertise in the first place? not saying its an amazing system, but this is just not fair. And its not good for the community. umbral shards are not tradable for a reason. they werent meant to be traded. if they can be, then all the drops should be bind on equip and people should be able to sell them as well. how about that?

My opinion? I could care less if Joe over there hit lvl 60 last week and is 625 now. It doesn’t effect my gameplay at all other than maybe a free kill because Joe is 100% getting clapped.

Selling shards is perfectly fine. Personally I don’t get why you would buy them instead of playing the content yourself.
But if someone wants to pay others to play the game for them…oh my…whatever floats their boat.
Selling shards for in game money I think its legal. Or at least it should be legal.
Selling shards for real money or payments outside of the game, should be permanently banned both buyer and seller.
They want to skip the effort and time, and i dont like grindfests but its not that difficult to progress normally ever since casts started to give umbrals. im against the idea of being too lazy and inexperienced and potentially harming the community. it will also increase the new maxed GS players start wanting to get BiS items that are already hard to reach, cause increased prices in tradepost as well. just because its “technically” legal right now it doesnt make it fair. just like territory owners and mega companies having a huge advantage over others and making their gameplay much more difficult isnt fair. i dont know why you guys even defend that, i naturally suspect that you are a part of this system either as a buyer or seller.
As I said, up to you what you think or what you are against.
But no one cares.
It is fine according to the game rules and that is all what matters.

In any case, there is no need to continue this debate, we disagree and even though they said its legal, like i said there are people who were banned for this, and i believed my opinion needed to be heard because this is not the only thread with this subject.
