It is funny how some PVE Players bring up the matter of Mortal 2 accusing the PVP factor as the factor that has led it to have a “reduced” population. Mortal 2 has a payout system that makes it inherently inaccessible to the masses; added to the little marketing they have and the design problems of the game; like, for example, a lousy combat system and an insane need to grind; among other things. The most played games in the multiplayer world today are PVP and as for MMOs for those 2 or 3 PVE Players who love to walk 24/7 flooding the posts in which a pvp server is suggested just because it invades them a tremendous terror that these are more successful than their current and archaic servers, I have to mention: Guild Wars 2, Lineage 2, Wow Classic, Albion Online, Eve Online. Not to mention that the most wish-listed MMO on steam is one focused on PVP (The Day Before).

You are of course 100% correct here except that none of those game are MMORPG’s with always on forced pvp. They are shooters, battle royale, moba and survival games.
GW2 does not have forced pvp in the whole game as far as I know.
Wow Classic had good world pvp at the beginning and then it went downhill. Look at the servers today. They are all one faction bar one server, Grobbulus. I played on that server specifically for the world pvp and I did not see much of it. Very underwhelming.
Albion has pvp zones. It does not have forced pvp everywhere.
Eve Online has pvp zones. Again not forced pvp everywhere.
So you have maybe one example with one server.
the other mmos do nt have combat like new world. New world has a gorgeous style (although very buggy / desyncy) that makes fast pace PVP so much fun.
The combat system so fine that they have created can be seen in all its potential precisely in the pvp, happily today the devs have said that they will seek to enhance the Open World because they are aware that those battles for territories when the game was launched was something fantastic
not even that man, the ability to just catch people open world and have a fight is fun. Then coming back to fight and retest skills etc. But we should be able to destroy tents for those so your not getting them spawing back in over 2 times honestly. rematch is good but then it gets old if your destroying them but they keep coming and bugging you lol.
So you want the current system where you can toggle pvp on and off.

By the way this is an example of what the devs will have to deal with also when people ask for changes to the game specific to pvp.
where did i say that? I want te ability to destroy tents as it should be for open world.
Eve has forced PvP everywhere… bare few “starter” sectors (one per race if I recall correctly) and the ones where “Epic Arc” missions takes place… on such sectors “veterans” are not allowed to take advantage of newbies lack of knowledge or skills in the game…

I just find it funny/ironic that we are talking about a pvp server where you always gotta pvp and there is already a request to have relief from pvp because it’s “getting old” as you put it or it does not suit you in some way.
Imagine that they open a PVP server in New World and someone comes to tell you that they do not force you to do PVP because in the cities and teleport points there is no pvp. LOL.
tbh most people wouldnt care if the game was updated to their needs there honostly just looking for a game where pvp is enabled all the time and if the updates are pure pve thats fine cause they still have pvp content. only issue they have is balancing classes but thats already a requirment in the current game due to OPR and Areana so reakly they wouldnt be needing to divide the dev team up at all.

With the new brimstone patch, they could leave the 3 white maps (which cannot be conquered), as active PvP zones always. Only with that you could already revitalize the game in the PvP field. Those zones should always have been active PvP.
NW is great but its not a serious pvp game. It never will be. They don’t want to add pvp servers because then the other servers may lack pvp activity. Enjoy NW for what it is. If you want a serious pvp game then play Mortal Online 2.
They already do that, There are no rewards for staying tagged.
