As far as I know, I haven’t insulted anyone other than by calling crybabies crybabies ONE time and that post got removed. And if you feel insulted by anything else I said that was not an insult, that does not make what I said an insult.
It’s the same argument as with speech that incites violence. If you feel incited to cause violence, that does not mean what was said was inciting violence.
I got a post removed too, the mystery is which white knight reported us? Who knows.
I can understand wanting to stop things like hate speech. But to be honest changing a in-game title won’t change how people act in chat
The way to stop hate speech is by reporting the person and then mute them forever. At that point you done everything you could on your end of things. Then it will be up to Amazon to figure out the player punishment.
I understand where you’re coming from. I’ve seen this in action on my server. We have a Turkish guild in our faction we worked with while low level with wars and I’ve seen people being disrespectful or racist towards them just cause they have the word turkey in their company name. I later on learnt they are actually Turkish and people were being that way towards them for that reason. I experience this in England myself in person. Being a foreigner who’s lived in 7 different countries for many years each.
What’s funny though is the amount of people on here dismissing you calling you this or that … AND STILL BEING RACIST AND DISRESPECTFUL towards YOU. Oh and let me correct myself sorry. It isn’t funny, it’s pathetic to see people read what you’ve said and then do the exact same thing in another way.
Racism of any kind shouldn’t be tolerated.
I see tons of replies on here of people who aren’t even aware that what they are saying is disrespectful or racist in any way. It’s burnt into alot of these people from a young age and they can’t even recognize it.
Sad really but what I’d say is. Let’s hope for features and things to improve to filter the hateful people out. For now I’d say continue to enjoy your community and what you have created. Continue to enjoy the game and school those unaware racist buttholes in PvP
PS I spent 18 hours in Istanbul airport waiting for connecting flight to South Africa some years ago and I have to say. Your country is a destination I will a thousand percent come back to for a proper visit. Love the food. Love the colours the people the architecture etc. Hek just landing in Istanbul was an amazing 30 minutes of low down flight I got to see so much on the way down. There’s bad people everywhere. For someone to target a certain kind of person and shame them for whatever they may be known for is incorrect. Everybody is different. Shitty people are all sizes shapes and color and people who are horrible to others they know nothing about. Those people are the ones wasting their lives away not you

I just read through most of the thread and it seems clear to me that most people have misunderstood you.
Though your post could have been improved, like any post, I don’t think this is your fault. I myself have been astounded at the number of replies on my own threads which completely miss even the simplest of points.
I have witnessed what you speak of on the server I play on, however it’s not as bad here as you describe it on yours.
Personally, I rarely make use of the reporting function as I am comfortable, for example, with profanity. Racism and hate speech however is another matter.
I encourage you and your friends to systematically report it, every single time. People have often complained on these forums that moderation in New World is excessive, exaggerated, too strict. Well this is the kind of issue where ia flaw becomes an asset. It is here to punish those who break the TOS but it is especially here to protect those who don’t.
I might also add that in some countries, for instance in Europe, hate speech is not only against the TOS, it is against the law.
The chat on my server was full of hate, anger and insults in the beginning, now it is very (almost too much) peaceful. I’m pretty sure that is due to very reactive moderation. I really recommend that you use the report function actively.
A big issue in global chat is that some people decide to engage in long conversations in languages that aren’t English or whatever else the server states. Take European servers: if everyone were to speak their own language, the chat would be an unreadable mishmash of more than 30 languages.
I believe people should be considerate of others and refrain from such a rude behavior, or at least keep it to a minimum, for company advertisement for instance.

This is a very unique situation, sorry your going through this. But unfortunately, AGS probably won’t do anything. I see the hate speech in global every day and I don’t see anything happening about it. Good luck in your efforts.
I’m not gonna lie when I read the OP and the subsequent replies thereafter I almost fell out my chair laughing. Not because I think it’s funny… It’s just I still can’t grasp how so many people don’t know history.
Lesson 1: The country of Turkey didn’t exist till the 1920’s so when the Spaniards first arrived in the 1500s… you get the rest.
Lesson 2: The Turkish Ottoman Empire was one of the most powerful empires the world has ever seen. Nearly all trade bound for Europe had to pass thru the Ottoman Empire.
Lesson 3: The American Turkey resembled another bird that came out of Africa thru the Ottoman Empire bound for Europe so they just called it a Turkey Cock or a Turkey Hen.
Lesson 4: Nearly anything foreign or exotic imported to Europe was given a “Turkish” name to make it sound more exotic and important thus selling it for a higher price.
Moral of the story is if people are actually using Turkey Terminator as an insult then you should just laugh at them and remind them that your ancestors controlled a large portion of the world for over 6 centuries… what did their ancestors do?
