Issues with the "E" button (Crafting/harvesting/trading)

  • What server/world did you experience your issue on: Mag Mell

    For a few weeks now i have been running into a very annoying bug in the game. Whether I’m crafting, harvesting or trying to use the shop, the game gives me troubles.
    Trading Post- When in the trading post, the shop looks as if it resets. After this happens, i can no longer buy or sell anything from the shop. When i try it says “Item at a different trading post” even though it is not. Now when i want to use the item shop. i have to try and race through the item selection to try and find what i need before it resets on me. this seems to always happen at different times.
    Crafting- next when I’m crafting, i see my character get out of the crafting animation and turn around while I am still in the crafting menu. This is practically the same as the reset in the item shop. When this happens and i click the craft button, i am just taken out of the crafting menu and i have to then restart and try to race the system again.
    Harvesting- Finally with harvesting, when trying to harvest anything I just stop randomly. this isn’t quite as annoying as the others for the most part because when I click e again most of the time i will continue where i left off. But trying to collect chests is almost impossible because it resets my collection progress every time.
    I have not been able to fix this issue and i don’t believe it has anything to do with lag. but it makes the game pretty much unplayable. if there is a fix for this issue that i was unable to find it would be great if someone could let me know. if not i just really hope this is fixed soon.

The same problem has been bothering me for several weeks, and what makes me distressed is that their customer service said that this bug is not in the list of recent fixes.

i found another thread from a few days ago talking about the trading station portion of my issues. But felt like i needed to bring more attention to the problem since it is so damaging to gameplay and has not been talked about nearly enough.

Have the same problems since the 28 Oct Update. Many threads about it. Nothing. No answer. For me the glitch/resets every few seconds. So is basically impossible to do anything.

I’m having the same exact issue and now it’s really annoying me. I’m handicapped from doing any crafting, looting chests, using the trading post and constantly exiting from siege weapons. This should of been an hot fix asap.

Same problem here (Mardi server): trading post, workstation, NPC, nodes.
In addition, you can see that, while running, the character sometimes stops or turns around for a split second. :tired_face: :tired_face: :tired_face: :tired_face:
I log in every day to check the problem but I haven’t been able to play for 10 days now (since update 1.04).

I am having the exact same problems - here I thought I was the only one! Several friends I play the game with are not experiencing these issues, but when we attempt to quest together, they notice the E button animation suddenly stops and I have to start all over again - at that point, the enemies are respawning and my friends have to kill them while I start my never-ending process of collecting an item. Crafting is basically useless since I can barely finish one. As you said, the gathering is tolerable, but frustrating nonetheless. I’ve been wanting to sell my items somehow or buy certain weapons for leveling, but the trading post won’t let me touch anything. Thank you for bringing this to the forum’s attention; if only moderators would acknowledge this more often.

EDIT just in case: My character’s name is MoonMoon4, server is Castle of Steel.

Hello everyone! :grinning:

First of all: the problem was solved for me by doing what is written below! :boom: :boom: :100: :boom: :boom:

Yesterday I contacted the Italian amazon support and the operator told me that it could be a problem related to the transfer of data packets and therefore the WiFi I was using.

He suggested that I take off the WiFi and try to connect via ethernet.
Not having a sufficiently long cable, I connected via USB Tethering of my mobile phone.

I logged in and … zero problems! :medal_military:
The ‘E’ key worked great on both nodes and workstations as well as in dialogue with NPC!
The problem for me too is show following the application of patch 1.04 so I think it was a strange concomitance between the WiFi connection and the patch applied.

Just so you know: after testing successfully, I went back to playing with WiFi and all problems were solved in WiFi too! :sparkler: :sparkler: :sparkler:
It was like a ‘blockage’ that had to be overcome.

I hope this system can help others too. :wave:
